General Hospital’s very own Jason Thompson, aka Dr. Patrick Drake will be co-hosting ABC’s The View. Look out for Jason this Wednesday, October 23, at 11 AM Eastern.
“We all flirt with the tiniest notion, of self conclusion in one simplified notion, the trick is that you’re never supposed to act on it.” A line from a really great band, The Spill Canvas, in their song titled, Self Conclusion. Today, Sonny flirted with the thoughts of suicide. Sonny was fortunate enough to have Olivia and his sons there to plead with him, and try to talk him out of this state of mind. Sonny is bipolar, therefore he has extreme highs as well as lows. And when faced with the loss of someone he loves, he feels as if he has no where to turn, and that the world would be a better place if he left to be with Connie. Olivia told him who and how much he would be leaving behind, and that if he went through with this, he would be causing harm and pain to the ones he loves, who love him.
Maurice has really been bringing on the drama and intensity with this story. He has brought Sonny to the darkest place he as ever been. Connie has taken him to a place not even Brenda could take him. Losing Connie has mad Sonny lose himself. Maurice is showing the fans a portrayal of Sonny on a whole new level. We have seen Sonny’s dark days, his manic, days, his great days, and now we have seen this, rock bottom.
Every single person in that scene gave it their all today. Brian Craig (Morgan), Chad Duell (Michael), Dominic Zamprogna (Dante), Lisa LoCicero (Olivia), and Maurice Benard himself (Sonny). The dynamic was so powerful and the chemistry the actors portrayed as a family really shown through.
Will Sonny listen to his family and lean on them through his time of need? Share if you hope Sonny’s family saves him from himself.

The man who wears many hats, including gracing us with his presence as Robert Frank (Franco) on General Hospital has sent out a very interesting Facebook message. In his message he thanked all his friends at General Hospital for their support. Then he proceeded to tell fans to wait and see what happens.
Judging from his post, and the recent spoiler claiming Franco becomes a new man after surgery really leads me to believe James Franco will be back on the set of GH. Please stay tuned, as I will post as soon as I hear further news and confirmation of this speculation.

…It’s been rumored that actress Kirsten Storms has recently signed a two year contract. Therefore, things look positively for fans in regards to Maxie actually dying. I’m pretty sure Maxie will be sticking around to play out this baby mama drama!

The legendary actor, Maurice Benard and his phenomenal character, Sonny Corinthos is celebrating 20 years at General Hospital!
General Hospital Blog would like to thank Maurice for all his hard work and dedication to the American classic soap opera. The longest running Daytime Soap Opera, General Hospital, wouldn’t be what it is today without this amazing actor and his portrayal of Mob Boss/family man, Sonny Corinthos.
We love to be entertained by his multifaceted acting abilities and will take whatever GH will throw at us as long as Sonny is involved.
In a recent interview found on MichaelFairmansoaps.com, Lisa LoCicero answers questions involving her story line, working with Maurice Benard, Olivia and Sonny’s relationship, losing Connie, and letting go of Kelly Sullivan on General Hospital.
When asked about Olivia’s hallucinations, she reveals that she gets mixed reviews from the fans. Some love it, some don’t, but regardless of what they are writing for her character, Lisa says she has a great time playing it all.
Lisa is happy to be working so closely with Maurice Benard. She feels that Olivia and Sonny have a long history and share a son together, which means becoming a real family is definitely a viable option.
In regards to the unfortunate news that actress Kelly Sillivan who plays Connie Falconeri/Kate Howard had been let go, Lisa explains what a difficult time it was for the cast who work closely with Kelly. Kelly is such a talented actress. It was a very emotional time filming the last scenes with her good friend and on screen cousin. She proceeds to elaborate on the coincidence of the two ladies announcements… during the same time, news came out that Kelly Sullivan had been let go from General Hospital while Lisa LoCicero had just signed a new contract with the show. It was a rough time for the cast and for the fans.
