Over the years, General Hospital has made history time and time again with its iconic storylines. Sadly, those creative and legendary stories won’t told for a while as we navigate through Covid-19. Although this won’t be forever, it is still difficult for the cast, crew, and fans alike to wrap our heads around the reality of it all. While we sit and wait for our world as we know it to go back to normal, we can reflect on the fond memories from our favorite Daytime Drama.
As fashion trends and TV show reboots from the 1990s have begun to resurface, one very memorable General Hospital storyline from the 1990s comes to mind. In the early 1990s I got sucked in and swept away. I started watching GH with my mom and sister and the story that was front and center revolved around Jason Quartermaine. Now, he goes by Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Jason, Jagger Cates (Antonio Sabato Jr.), and Karen Wexler (Cari Shayne) were stranded on an island and I was hooked!
Romance, drama, and adventure followed these three wherever they went, even on a deserted island! After being shipwrecked, they were stranded on a deserted island, making things very awkward for everyone involved since Jagger and Karen were a couple, Jason was annoyed, and the two men weren’t too keen on each other. This love triangle was secondary to that of Jagger, Karen, and Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil), but developed as Jason Quartermaine was basically a third wheel when he, Jagger, and Karen were stuck on a deserted island.

Tension was always thick between Jason and Jagger. Of course, it was all over a girl. Karen Wexler was the girl they both had their eye on. So, in one climatic scene, Jagger walked up as Jason embraced Karen from behind. Naturally, Jagger was angry and jealous, but it wasn’t what it looked liked. Instead, Jason was comforting Karen after the attempted rape. Like always, Jason Morgan has been a savior to women. He is a natural protector, quick thinker, and a fighter for what’s right. Jason Quartermaine never lost that part of himself, even after the car accident with his brother AJ (Sean Kanan), leading him to change his name from Quartermaine to another family name, Morgan.
At some point, Jason and Jagger had to put their pride and differences aside. This was necessary in order to work together to survive. Jagger was the muscle, while Jason was both the brains of the operation. Additionally, it’s apparent that both Jason and Jagger are strong and resourceful. Karen was resourceful in her own right, but definitely played the role of damsel in distress very well.
The History of GH’s JaSam- A Love Story. …Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Samantha McCall (Kelly Monaco) came together in an unexpected way and have become the modern foundation for Daytime love stories. These two have made history over the years as their intensely passionate relationship moved the hearts of so many General Hospital fans.
In the beginning, Sam’s complicated life drew Jason in, while Jason’s black and white simplicity complimented the chaos. Today, times are tough for this iconic couple. Sadly, outside forces try to keep them apart.
General Hospital spoilers predict that Jason and Sam are together when all is said and done. After all they’ve been through, Jason takes a walk down memory lane. First, Sonny’s youngest son Morgan faces whether or not he will be diagnosed with bipolar disorder, just like his dad. So far, signs are pointing to yes. Morgan is displaying some of the same characteristics that would lead to a bipolar diagnosis. After Sonny was shot, Morgan was beside himself with grief and anger. The thought of losing his dad has his mind spinning out of control… so much that he will go to extreme measures to get justice.
According to GH previews, Morgan is ready to end Julian’s life. He’s out for revenge and won’t let anyone deter him from getting justice for Sonny. Moreover, General Hospital spoilers indicate that Sonny’s incident will adversely affect many lives in Port Charles. As a result of the incident, the Jason Morgan reveal will begin to unravel. Reportedly, today marks the day that Maurice Benard debuted as Port Charles mobster, Sonny Corinthos. On August 13th, 1993, Sonny arrived in Port Charles. He quickly made a name for himself around town, and he soon developed a reputation.
General Hospital Blog would like to congratulate Maurice on his 22 year run as one of the most well known television names in Daytime TV. According to recent GH news, Maurice tells fans how he only wanted to sign a 6 month contract with the Soap Opera. However, things didn’t happen quite like that. Thankfully, 6 months as Sonny Corinthos turned into over two decades. Twenty-two years later and we still race to our television sets every day of the week. And after cliffhanger Friday, Monday can’t come soon enough.
To many fans General Hospital just wouldn’t be the same without the mob boss. Undoubtedly, Port Charles changed forever when Maurice joined GH’s cast as Sonny Corinthos. We want to thank Maurice for his hard work and talents, and everything he does to keep fans coming back for more.

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve seen Milo Giambetti, and fans have been asking what ever happened to him.
Milo’s most recent storyline had him pining over Lulu Spencer. She experienced a traumatic event when kidnapped by a Cassadine. Upon her return from Stavros Cassadine’s capture Lulu didn’t remember Dante and the rest of her family. In fact, she couldn’t even remember that she was married at all, or the love shared between herself and Dante Falconeri.
General Hospital recaps recall Lulu having spent some time with Milo in his apartment while she sorted all of this out. Even though Milo was in love with Lulu, he knew better than to pursue anything with a married woman. After that, he quit working for Sonny as his bodyguard, and left Port Charles.
In a recent issue of Soaps in Depth, General Hospital spoilers reveal that Drew Cheetwood will be reprising his role as Milo Giambetti, on August 14th. Milo have his sights set on a new lady… rumor has it that he has fallen for none other than Head Nurse at General Hospital, Epiphany Johnson (Sonya Eddy). Sonny (Maurice Benard) offers his ex-employee and current friend Milo, romantic advice.

General Hospital recaps highlight Monday’s intense scene between Jason Morgan and Kate/Connie. Connie Falconeri (Kelly Sullivan) blew up at Jason (Steve Burton) and verbally assaulted him. But first, Kate Howard was as poised and collected as can be.
According to General Hospital news reports, this visit the first time in Daytime Television history that a character exhibits split personalities. However, GH fans rave about Sullivan’s skills as an actor. One minute she is Kate Howard, a sophisticated, professional, and poised woman. Then, the next thing you know she is acting erratically and out of control as Connie Falconeri.
Kelly Sullivan’s performances have been nothing short of purely entertaining and I can’t wait to see what’s next. She really knows how to bring it in every scene!
For the first time Kate heard Connie’s voice in her own head. She struggled with this intrusive dialogue and it drove her absolutely insane. As Kate, she tried so hard to keep her composure then lost it! Ultimately, she wound up screaming right in front of Jason.
According to General Hospital spoilers and rumors, Kate is on the verge of losing her mind completely. Dr. Keenan (Nathin Butler) better get through to Kate ASAP before she turns into Connie for good! Keep watching!
