General Hospital Spoilers: Rena Sofer Clears The Air- Why Lois? Why Now? GH Star Explain

Rena Sofer explains Lois’s GH return

It’s safe to say that GH fans can accredit General Hospital’s Executive Producer, Frank Valentini for the bit of 90s nostalgia going on in Port Charles. It’s always nice to see familiar faces return over the years, bringing a sense of tradition and history.

Recently, General Hospital’s latest casting news shakes things up around Port Charles, especially the Quartermaine family. Earlier this year, word of Sofer’s The Bold And The Beautiful departure, fans immediately began to speculate a GH return. Finally, Rena Sofer returned to General Hospital as Lois Cerullo after nearly three decades.

According to Soap Opera Digest, Sofer explains how Lois’s return came to be. The actress then detailed the events that lead to her GH return. Evidently, this has been in the works since 2021. Rena explained that she was still playing Quinn on The Bold And The Beautiful at the time the idea originated.

Upon her GH return, Sofer spilled the tea to Soaps In Depth. “Out of nowhere, Frank reached out to me by text asking if I’d be willing to talk to him,” she continued. “I said, ‘Of course.’ The last time I saw Frank was at Courtney Hope (Sally Spectra, The Young And The Restless) and Chad Duell’s (Michael Corinthos, GH) wedding October 2021); we sat with each other and it was really great to see him.

Is Lois Cerullo Here To Stay?

“He was like, ‘I would love to get you back to GH,’” she continued. “At that time, I was still on The Bold and the Beautiful and I wasn’t even discussing it with him. But with this Eddie Maine story happening, it just really seemed like an absolutely perfect time to have Lois come back for a short amount of time to try to get Eddie to remember that he’s Ned. So Frank reached out to me and asked me if I’d be willing to come back for a short amount of time and I said yes.”

“I’ve played a lot of characters in my career and Lois is probably one of the top three characters I’ve ever played in 37 years of being an actress,” Sofer admitted. “So to be able to go back and do it was unreal.

“It’s just interesting to play her at this age,” she added. “She’s still loud and she’s still mouthy. She was still a lot like me, except with a Brooklyn accent and nails. But also, the story isn’t about me. The story is about Brook Lynn. The story is about Eddie Maine and Ned, so I need to respect that. This is not about me coming back and telling my story; this is about me coming back and supporting the stories that are there with me trying to create the knowledge of who Lois is now, 27 years later. So that is challenging, but also, part of the fun.”

Port Charles feels a little more like when I began watching now that Ned, Eddie, and Lois are together again!

General Hospital News and Spoilers: Laura Wright Speaks Out- Is Carly Leaving Port Charles?

Laura Wright GH exit
Laura Wright GH exit rumors IG @jeremyjfisher

In Port Charles, the Corinthos family faces some hard times in the here and now. So much has changed in the last few years since Sonny (Maurice Benard) was presumed dead. That’s when Carly Corinthos’s (Laura Wright) life took a drastic turn.

In 1996, in came Caroline Benson (Sarah Joy Brown). She was an alluring pool shark with an agenda to seduce her mother’s husband. Despite her ill intentions, Carly and Bobbie Spencer (the late Jackie Zeman) eventually became very close. Fast forward to 2005, and Laura Wright joins General Hospital as the 4th actress to take on the role of Caroline Benson, aka Carly Corinthos. Laura’s portrayal hit home with GH fans, making the role one of the most popular in daytime tv. Carly and (ex-husband) Sonny Corinthos became household names as General Hospital’s main focus (while also focused on the hospital).

The Latest Laura Wright GH Exit

Recently, Carly’s had a rough go ever since Sonny was presumed dead and returned in love with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). There’s no doubt that Carly has seen better days. Especially losing the Metro Court to the same woman who took her man. But GH spoilers tease, mark Carly’s words, she WILL get EVERYTHING back that Nina stole from her. Carly may have gotten knocked down, and even kicked while she was already on the ground, but she’s formidable and always comes out on top.

Recently, GH rumors claimed that Laura Wright was on her way out and ready to exit General Hospital. Every so often it seems that this very same rumors starts, usually on Twitter. Thankfully, Wright is active on the social media platform, and engages with fans on a regular basis. Due to the recent GH casting rumors Laura took to Twitter to set the record straight. As stated above, Carly vowed to take everything from Nina that she had stolen. So why in the world would Carly leave Port Charles when it’s her time to shine?

Carly Joss Bobbie

General Hospital news and spoilers reveal that Laura Wright confirms that she isn’t going anywhere.

Carly is determined to take back everything!

General Hospital Spoilers: Esme Brings Ace Into The Hospital, Felicia and Ace’s Instinctive Bond Peaks Esme’s Curiosity

Mac and Felicia are Esme’s parents
Mac and Felicia are Esme’s parents

Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner) is ready for a change. Clearly, leads a fulfilling life in Port Charles. Despite the good ole days of WSB adventures, romantic entanglements, and rescue missions, Felicia longs for something more. Or, maybe it’s not more that she hopes to find. Perhaps she seeks something different.

Aside from her impressive career wrap sheet, Felicia has been reflecting on her family life. While there will always be some other adventure to catch, Felicia and Mac’s grandkids only grow up once in a lifetime. The day to day has Felicia grateful for her impressive career, her children and grandchildren, and of course, Mac. Two major life events had a strong impact on Felicia’s at of life. Sadly, Felicia missed much of her daughter’s lives and wasn’t present for their most precious moments. And how she feels about what happened to Georgie never seems to ease up.

Moreover, Felicia and Mac Scorpio (John J. York) previously mentioned that they don’t have kids together. Although he considers Maxie, Georgie, and Robin as his own, the fact remains that Mac doesn’t know that he has a biological child and that it’s Cody Bell (Josh Kelly). Grandparenthood comes so naturally to them both… as of becoming grandparents was their destiny.

According to General Hospital spoilers, Felicia finds fulfillment in working as a Patient Advocate at General Hospital. As a result of her new career path, Felicia is able to connect with patients while advocating on their behalf. Needless to say, but it’s understandable that someone in that position is likely to develop deep friendships and bonds. Oddly, GH rumors hint that the former WSB Agent, Felicia Jones Scorpio, gets to know Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and her son Ace (Jay and Joey Clay) when he’s brought to the hospital with a medical issue.

Previously, GH rumors claimed that Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Linstrom) and Heather Webber are not actually Esme’s biological parents. Instead, many GH fans believe that Esme was mostly likely kidnapped by Ryan, Heather, or both at some point. Put that together with Soap Opera logic and math that isn’t mathing (most will understand the joke), and we just might have a story about Esme’s REAL biological parents.

Will Felicia’s new career path lead her and Mac down an unexpected road? It’s only natural that Felicia would connect with Esme and Ace if she’s assigned as his Patient Advocate. After all, the instinctive bond between a mother and her children/grandchildren is undeniable.

Are Felicia and Mac Esme’s biological parents?? As for Mac, will he learn that he has not one child, but two?!

General Hospital Spoilers: Sasha Corners Gladys- A Desperate Mother-In-Law Becomes Violent

Sasha wants Gladys to pay
Sasha wants Gladys to pay

Did Sasha’s happily ever after happen too easily? Honestly, I didn’t think so. In fact, I can speak for most GH fans when I say that Sasha has been through more than most. And frankly, she’s suffered enough.

What’s next for Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson)? According to GH recaps, Sasha and Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) plan to trap Greedy Gladys was a success. And the prank phone call worked like a charm. That’s when they got their queue to proceed with the plan. Sam just had her moment in the spotlight, but it’s Sasha’s time to shine.

Currently, she finds herself in a heartbreakingly awkward encounter. General Hospital spoilers and previews indicate that Sasha and Gladys come face to face.

Sofia Mattsson has been put to the test. Shes killing it in the Sasha role. So much so that fans display genuine concern for But maybe in the soap world Sasha isn’t ready for happiness. On the contrary, GH spoilers reveal that Sasha’s problems are behind her.

General Hospital spoilers suggest that in order for Sasha to get over her problem (Gladys), she must face it head on. Sasha wants Gladys to pay and that exactly her intentions when she shows up at the door. Will a corners desperate Gladys turn violent to save herself from being arrested?

General Hospital News And Spoilers: Tabyana Ali Explains How She Handles Haters; “I don’t know you, I don’t know who you are.”

How Tabyana Ali handles haters

How Tabyana Ali handles haters and online trolls. …General Hospital star Tabyana Ali plays the adored Trina Robinson. While Ali isn’t the first to portray Dr. Portia Robinson’s (Brook Kerr) daughter, she was called upon after Sydney Makayla left the role. Initially, Ali lost the role to Sydney while becoming a finalist. Still listed as a finalist for the role, TPTB at GH got in touch with the eager actress. It wasn’t too long before the 21 year old actress won over her fans as the “new” Trina Robinson.

There’s a simple yet valid saying, “you can’t please everyone.” Though it seems pretty basic and straightforward, this saying holds significant weight. It reminds us that no matter how we try, change (for others, not for growth), or put in work, there will always be those who won’t be happy with whatever it is you’re doing. It’s impossible to appeal to everyone’s tastes. Besides, people tend to form preconceived assumptions about other individuals with little to no basis behind their beliefs. “You can’t please everyone,” reminds us to stay true to ourselves. Don’t ever feel like you have to hide your true self to please some else or get them to like/respect you.

According to recent General Hospital news and spoilers, one GH star discusses online negativity, hateful comments, and how to cope. These comments come from displeased, so-called fans. Tabyana Ali recently spilled her secrets for how she copes when strangers try to bring her down. A recent video clip from AP Entertainment explains how Tabyana Ali handles haters who come out of the dusty cracks in their keyboard.

When dealing with hate and negative social media comments, one of GH’s talented twenty-somethings (she’s actually 21) reveals the thought process behind her cool and carefree outlook on personal criticism. In the video below, Tabyana explains how she’s been advised not to even read the comments due to potentially adverse effects on one’s emotional wellbeing.

Being in the public eye while under constant scrutiny and ridicule isn’t easy to swallow. Thankfully, Tabyana’s happy-go-lucky vibe doesn’t allow haters to get any satisfaction for their cruel and unnecessary comments. Although advised not to read online comments, Ali admits that she sees everything. But that doesn’t mean she takes it to heart. She said, “It does kinda just go over my head cuz I’m like, ‘I don’t know you. I don’t know who you are so it doesn’t really feel like anything. It feels like you’re just talking.”

We admire Tabyana’s talent, spirit, and her ability to ignore the negative around her. We’ll keep cheering her on as she stays positive. Tabyana’s gorgeous smile alone could ward off negativity!
