Over the past 13 years we’ve had the pleasure of engaging with fellow General Hospital fans on a daily basis. That said, GH fans express their ideas, thoughts, and options on all things GH. Yesterday, Steve Burton received the warmest of welcomes when he debuted as Jason Morgan. According to GH news, Burton was hired to play Jason Quartermaine in 1991. Fans were drawn to his portrayal of the preppy- rich-kid-turned mob enforcer. Unfortunately, Burton left GH in 2012, but returned in 2017. Then, he was let go from the soap opera in 2021 due to a covid vaccine mandate. Needless to say its been one big roller coaster for GH fans.

Steve Burton Reveals How Jason Morgan’s Storyline Changed Course

Thankfully, prayers were answered when his surprise return was announced. Fans immediately began to speculate about how Jason would be reintroduced to the canvas. According to the latest GH news and spoilers, Burton revealed the decision for Steve to return came before the recent writer switch. As a result, Jason’s storyline took a different direction.

GH spoilers reveal that Burton opened up to Soap Opera Digest about his storyline. “So apparently there was a whole different story planned and then the head writer switch happened and then they kind of rebooted (the story arc). I know Patrick (Mulcahey, one of the new head writers) a little bit, but I really know Elizabeth Korte (who was promoted to co-head writer).” Burton disclosed to the news outlet.

“There’s no one in the building that loves that show, knows the history of the character, and is invested in it 100 percent than Elizabeth. There has never been a more deserved promotion, ever. Once I know that she was (one of the head writers), I was like, ‘Oh, this is gonna be good! I cannot wait.’ And it has been exactly that. Everything has been amazing.”

It sounds like Steve is just as excited about his comeback as the rest of us! His faith in the new writing team gives hope for an exciting future at General Hospital.

Unfortunately, threats against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his organization are so dire that even his enemy has to protect him. The mobster isn’t too happy that Jagger Cates (Adam Harrington) is back in Port Charles. Furthermore, he sure as Hell won’t accept that his personal enemy is responsible for keeping Sonny safe.

According to the latest General Hospital previews and spoilers Sonny finally faces off with his unknown enemy. He vows to bring his enemy to his knees. At this point all that Sonny knows is that someone on the inside is a traitor. They knew the island layout like the back of their hand, and not many people were privy to that knowledge. That’s why some GH rumors claim that Jason Morgan is the shooter. The traitor. The enemy. If so, does that mean he’s turned against his best friend? Or could he be working against his own free will?
