Dex replaces Jason with Sonny?! Sonny Corinthos is so many things to so many people. His loyalty extends to those who equally practice and display the same loyalty. If you’re in a position to mean something to Sonny and vice versa, then consider yourself lucky.

Evidently, Sonny makes such an impression that even some of his enemies end up as friends and more. One enemy in particular is Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). The junior gangster was born for this position, quite literally. When Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) found Dex, they were both sure they would bring Sonny down. Hence, Dex was once Sonny’s secret enemy. But despite his initial intentions, Dex spills his true feelings.

General Hospital recaps revisit Dex’s confession as he tells Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) what a Sonny now means to him. He explained, “I’ve never had anyone in my life like him. I just feel like he’s taught me so much about what it means to be a man.” Immediately, this scene bright fans to social media platforms with buzz about Dex and Sonny. According to the latest GH rumors, Dex had a deeper reason for wanting coming Port Charles. As it turns out, working for Michael wasn’t just for Michael’s benefit in his quest to destroy his father. Despite being stuck between a cowboy and a gangster, Sonny Corinthos remains true to his character in the end.

According to GH spoilers and rumors Pikeman brings the gangster out in Sonny. And once he breaks through there is no going back. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) banked on the notion that Sonny never finds himself. Selfishly, she hopes that he never looks further than the shallow version of him that she created.

Although he named himself Mike, Sonny suffered from amnesia as Nina took advantage of his vulnerability. So all this time Nina has lived in her own reality that Sonny holds on to a bit of Mike- enough to keep her in her comfort soon. But that’s not the case now. Instead, the real Sonny Corinthos returns right when his family needs him the most. This Pikeman situation requires strength and power, and that’s not Mike. For some reason this mental institution is the go-to place for twisted individuals to manipulate and torture the vulnerable. Take it from Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) and Dr. Montague (Darin Toonder), it’s really an ideal place to keep someone captive and under control.
