Laura Spencer Collin’s (Genie Francis) is a wife, mother, sister, friend, and the Mayor of Port Charles. That’s a lot to have on one person’s plate. On top of all of that, her family is full of drama.
Let’s start with the obvious drama source, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Since his Port Charles arrival and confession to Laura, he’s been nothing but trouble for the Mother Mayor. I like that. That’s what I’m calling Laura from now on. Mother Mayor. But seriously, Cyrus revealed that he was Laura’s brother and her life hasn’t been the same since.
General Hospital recaps recall that Laura’s worries about Cyrus lead her to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). She questioned him about Cyrus’s potential involvement in Austin Holt’s (Roger Howarth) murder. That’s when Sonny informed her that he doesn’t think Cyrus killed Austin. Laura hates the thought of her brother having killed Dr. Holt. So she’s a bit relieved after Sonny’s insight.
Meanwhile, Cyrus is the least of Laura’s worries. Austin’s real killer isn’t there and GH rumors hint that he’s closer to Laura than her brother Cyrus. Apparently, Nikolas Cassadine frames his ex-wife, Ava Jerome (Maura West) in Dr. Austin Holt’s murder. Recent GH rumors and spoilers hint that Laura learns Nikolas killed Austin! It’s not her brother that’s a killer, it’s her son!
Uh oh! If she’s not careful, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) could find herself in a compromising position. And that is meant in more ways than one.
First, the obvious. It’s no secret that Carly’s new friend is Sonny’s enemy. Although the GH audience knows that Carly on the other hand is in the dark. At this point, she’s already compromised herself. Well, to be fair she’s compromised because of who she is. Even as his ex-wife, Carly is still targeted by Sonny’s enemies. And why is that? I believe it’s because Carly remains the most important person to Sonny and everyone knows it.
Secondly, Mr. Brennan (Charles Mesure) is coming on strong. He’s a big flirt to say the least, but what about Carly? She smiles, she twirls her hair, and she zeroes in on one customer when there’s an entire restaurant to serve. Despite the fact that she told him that she’s seeing someone, Carly continues to flirt.
According to General Hospital spoilers, Carly cheats on Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) with none other than Mr. Brennnan, aka Pikeman! Or, at least a representative of Pikeman. Talk about a compromising position. She’s not only in danger because he’s using her. She also ruins her relationship with Drew.

Let’s just say that Ava handled the news in true fashion. Although surveillance cameras were operating properly inside the gallery, the footage won’t do her justice. There’s no doubt that Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) is a true friend. Even more than that he is loyal and authentic. He’s there for Anna in good times and in bad, and he’d never betray her trust. On the other hand, Valentin Cassadine claims to love Anna but doesn’t think twice about compromising her well-being to suit his needs.

GH spoilers reveal that Brooklyn Silzer also disclosed the duration of her time at the Daytime Emmy winning drama. “I was so excited to be back and see everyone! I was there for two days, and I was so glad I got to spend a little extra time with some of my favorite people, like [on-screen grandparents] Finola [Hughes, Anna] and Tristan [Rogers, Robert].”
Sadly, it looks like the all grown up Emma Drake was only here to brighten her grandparent’s holiday.
Reportedly, the 17 year old has been applying to nursing school. “I’m pretty busy with school,” Silzer explained. “I’ve been applying for nursing school. That takes up most of my time. I’m taking pretty hard classes this year, but I’m hoping to stay local for college, maybe I can come visit General Hospital more often. That would be really cool.” It’s kind of an ironic career choice she and admits that her time on General Hospital “definitely inspired” her career path. She continued to divulge her reasoning, “ever since I started, I’ve known I wanted to be a nurse, I think since I was six years old. I always said, ‘I want to be a nurse when I grow up,’ and it just stayed with me, and I’ve become more inspired as I’ve been doing volunteer work throughout my high school years.”
