On the contrary, Spencer has observed his own father for years, and what he sees is a toxic parent. So why in the world did Spencer do what he just did? According to General Hospital spoilers and recaps, Spencer’s suspicions lead him to give up Ace to Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss). That’s when he so proudly told Esme that her son was gone and in the care of his unstable, absentee father.

Over the years Tyler Christopher became a household name, and the role of Nikolas Cassadine was iconized by the Emmy winning actor. That’s why it’s not surprising that those who’ve played the role after Christopher look upon his work as a guide.

Fast forward some years and a few Nikolas Cassadine recasts later, General Hospital found the perfect fit. GH fans warned up to Marcus Coloma in no time, becoming comfortable with his portrayal of this beloved character.

General Hospital news reports confirm that GH is onto yet another Nikolas. Adam Huss seems to be the permanent fixture after Coloma’s shocking GH exit. Despite the fan backlash, Marcus Coloma has yet to return. However, Huss has made a big impression on fans after the emotional scene with his tv son. Shockingly, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and his dad Nikolas reunited after dear old dad’s disappearance. The most shocking part of this all is that Nikolas and his son put their issues aside for Ace and for their own relationship. The scenes were natural and raw. Recently, Huss revealed to Soaps In Depth, “I watched a lot of scenes between Tyler Christopher and Nicolas Bechtel. What a beautiful dynamic they had, especially in the scenes around the fire when Spencer got burned and Nikolas was at the hospital.”

From there Huss then filmed the Nikolas and Spencer reunion scenes with Nicholas Alexander Chavez. GH spoilers reveal Adam’s take on Nik and Spencer’s relationship. He continued to Soaps In Depth, “I believe what transpires between them is sincere, and there is a sincere want and need from Nikolas to reconnect with Spencer. Which is why he is ready to face whatever he is going to face when it occurs. I also believe he would be willing to do whatever it takes in that moment to get what he needs. It’s definitely interesting, the direction it goes in.”

Reportedly, GH News confirms that Adam Huss returns to reports his role as Nikolas Cassadine. He was last on the show back in early September of 2023. After months of speculation and fan discussion over who will play Nikolas Cassadine, Huss has stepped back into the role. Prior to Huss, Nikolas was most recently played by Marcus Coloma until his 2023 exit. Back in early Fall the news broke that Coloma’s contract would not renew. Sadly, Marcus’s three years as Nikolas was over and dans weren’t happy. Before his sudden death, Nikolas Cassadine’s original portrayer, Tyler Christopher was rumored as a possible candidate for the role post Marcus’s exit. Unfortunately, his tragic death devastated fans and loved ones.

First, his relationship with his son Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) was rocky ever since Nikolas faked his death. It’s understandable that Spencer felt abandoned, and distances himself from his father. Emotionally, the two were further apart than ever. Spencer was back from boarding school and living at Wyndemere, distance separated father and son.

Nikolas had other problems in his life but they all stemmed from the same issue. It was a vicious cycle back when Spencer and Esme both had it out for Nikolas and Ava. As a result, Spencer’s resentment towards his dad and step mom helped fuel Esme’s agenda. Additionally, Spencer unknowingly fed into Esme’s trap which helped lead Ava and Nikolas astray from each other. It was the straw the broke the camel’s back for Spencer.

Once Esme seduced Nikolas and she became pregnant, time eventually did its job. It was only a matter of time that Spencer found out about how his father Nikolas slept with Esme. Ava Jerome (Maura West) was roped into the middle of it all between Nikolas and Spencer. But Ryan’s fixation on Ava fueled Esme’s entire plot, resulting in Ava’s marriage to Nikolas. According to General Hospital spoilers, Nikolas gets his revenge! The last time that he saw Ava was the night she thought she killed him. Until recently, Ava assumed that he was dead. Thanks to Austin, Ava was able to hide Nikolas’s body, or so she thought. That’s when one thing lead to another and Ava ended up sleeping with Austin. Now, Nikolas wants revenge.

Her last straw was when Nikolas showed up and was belligerent. He stormed through those Wyndemere doors and had the nerve to threaten Ava and Sonny’s daughter Avery (Ava and Grace Scarola). That’s when she whacked the Dark Prince over the head, and you know the rest.

General Hospital spoilers tease that Ava receives some promising information about selling Wyndemere. Her wishes just might come true as she wants to unload this monumental reminder of everything Cassadine. Ava learns that someone wants to buy Wyndemere but initially she can’t put her finger on who. His family lineage includes decades of eccentric, powerful people, who are also known for their dangerous schemes and power moves. That said, General Hospital fans everywhere undoubtedly know exactly who Nikolas Cassadine is. After all, he’s Spoon Island and Port Charles’s Dark Prince.

For years, Tyler Christopher was the only name and face that came to mind when fans think of GH’s Nikolas Cassadine. However, as years passed and Tyler and GH went their separate ways, other stepped into the role. Ultimately, the second to become the face associated with the Dark Prince is actor Marcus Coloma.
