We want to inform fans that we are starting something new and fun! General Hospital Blog has never before posted a “Performer of the Week” section on our page. Now, the time has come! Of course, the fans are the FIRST ones who we’d want to share the details with! So here we go…

GH spoilers and rumors run rampant when it comes to TV show storylines. Additionally, GH spoilers and news regarding actors status and things and that nature tend to spread like wild fire as well. But what doesn’t always get discussed is the raw talent coming from these actors.

That being said, our Performer of the Week announcement will take place every Monday. This week, WE will choose the VERY FIRST three candidates for GH Blog’s Performer of the Week! Going forward, fans will choose among three pre-determined actors as that week’s finalists as well. Fans will get to vote (via GH Blog’s Polls) on the Friday before the Winners Announcement. Then, at the beginning of the next week (Monday), we reveal which actor was chosen by fans!

There’s never a dull moment in Port Charles. Often times, drama has to pass through the PCPD at some point or another. Cody freaks out on Mac! …Gladys Corbin (Bonnie’s Burroughs) have proven to be a master manipulator. She’s got Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and many others right where she wants them but in different ways.

On one hand, Gladys has the media and other outsiders fooled as they believe that Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) has had another psychotic break. On the other hand, she also has Cody right where she wants him. However, she has Cody cornered. He doesn’t believe Gladys for one second that Sasha has naturally fallen into this dark place. Deep down, he knows Sasha’s mother-in-law from Hell has a hand or two in this.

According to General Hospital spoilers, Gladys gets the best of Cody. She’s pushed him to the edge as he fights to save Sasha. Meanwhile, the latest GH previews indicate that Cody freaks out on Mac. Gladys Corbin’s restraining order against Cody further prevents him from getting close enough to rescue Sasha. Evidently, Gladys continues to manipulate those around her, making Sasha look crazy, and Cody look violent.

According to GH spoilers, Cyrus has big plans. GH rumors surrounding Martin and Cyrus suggest that these two brother are working together. I’m a shocking revelation, GH rumors claim that Lucy stumbles upon a startling discovery. So, if Cyrus has big plans, will they hurt or help the innocent people of Port Charles? While many believe that Cyrus is bad to the bone, others think he’s a changed man.

If memory serves me correctly she’s been married five times. So, why not make it a 6th? If it was up to a Lucy, she’d marry Marty in a heartbeat!

General Hospital recaps reveal Lucy’s recent revelation. She went digging into her man’s personal affairs, and found part of the answer she was looking for. Indeed, Martin doesn’t want to get married. As Lucy and her pal Felicia (Kristina Wagner) sniffed around the likes of Pine Valley, Jackson Montgomery, they figured out some of Martin’s secret. As GH recaps recall, Martin receives 50k per month from an ex-wife. Therefore, if he married again he’ll lose that cash stash. But, why does he need it so badly, and where is it going?

According to recent GH spoilers, Martin’s involvement with Cyrus expands. GH rumors claim that Cyrus is as bad as ever, and his brother Martin is helping Cyrus do what he does. Has GH’s Sasha’s storyline gone too far?Sasha Gilmore’s (Sofia Mattsson) current storyline has General Hospital fans up in arms. Sofia gives a stellar performance in every scene, especially these recent emotional and psychological breaks. She really makes the audience feel for Sasha. And let’s just say that if Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) were real, she’d be receiving an overwhelming amount of hate mail and potential death threats (not seriously).

General Hospital news reports share polarizing views among GH fans. One of GH’s current, front-burner stories has everyone running to their keyboard. Together, Sasha, Gladys, Dr. Montague, Cody, and more, makes up the main characters in this intense tale. A tale indeed, except Sofia’s performance makes it feel like we aren’t watching a tale at all. Her emotions are so moving that she makes it hard for me to hold back my own emotions as I watch.

While we admit that it’s extremely difficult to watch, the whole point is for the actors to deliver realistic emotions. In doing so, we as an audience are meant to feel what humans feel. Watching Sofia handle these scenes is chilling, and the performances she delivers are stellar. Truthfully, Mattsson needs to win an Emmy for this. That being said, it’s hard to fathom why fans would want this story to end and deprive Sofia of her time to shine? If the actress has an issue with what was written for her character, then maybe there’s room to ask questions and make demands. Until then, please allow these artists to instead express their crafts without the threat that “fans” will stop watching.

Of all the outlandish things that this whack-a-doodle has done, Nina outdoes herself this time. It seems as though she’s jealous of anyone who means something to Sonny. And that’s why Nina stages her own kidnapping!

General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease that the Pikeman deal opens the door for a flood of problems for the people of Port Charles. For starters, anyone who means anything to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is at risk. Especially, Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and their children. Additionally, Sonny’s fiancé Nina falls in the realm of danger as well. People are at risk, and Sonny feels the weight of protecting them on his shoulders.

It’s obvious that he’s involved in shady dealings with Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey) and their mysterious denial boss.
