Is Dex Jason or AJ’s son?! …Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) took a shot in the dark when he sought out Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). He needed to hire someone specifically suited for a very unusual job. Preferably, Michael expected this person to be free of attachments. No family, no real friends, and nothing to lose. So, is Dex really that guy who is all alone in life, risking it all for money? Most likely, that’s not the case.

Although Dex might not have thought he had anything worth losing before, he knows it’s different now that he met Josslyn. So, why was Dex so willing to take such a dangerous job just to take down a stranger? Well, General Hospital rumors claim that Dex has some deep roots in Port Charles.

Previously, General Hospital Blog shared some fan theories about Dex’s background and possible ties to PC. While many GH strongly hope that Sonny doesn’t have yet another offspring out in this world, others think it’s a dead giveaway. However, other GH spoilers and rumors tease that Dex is Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) son. If true, Michael and Dex are actually cousins! In addition, another theory suggests that AJ Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) or Dex’s father.

Honestly, either Quartermaine makes sense. There’s AJ, whom Sonny killed, and then There’s Jason, who spent is life dedication to Sonny instead of a family. Why else would Dex risk his life to make Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) pay?

Josslyn is pregnant?! For most, trust and loyalty rank high among personality traits and are sought after by others. Without those qualities, it becomes difficult to carry on in meaningful relationships. Sonny feels the same way. Because of his business, trust in his professional and personal life is essential.

Although friends are nice to have, they come and go. Unlike family, friends are in your life by choice. As the same goes for someone you trust to have your back and keep your secrets. In the mob world, business is business. And for Sonny, he can’t run his ideal business without trusted and loyal employees. Over the years, the mob kingpin and family man collected a handle of employees who he trusted with his life. The one nearest and dearest to him is the (assumed) late Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

Loyalty and Trust

After Jason’s alleged death, the world around Sonny started ti look different. Choosing Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) over his wife Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and pushing his son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) away changed everything. But one thing was certain, Sonny needed a trusted employee. Meanwhile, Michael was hell bent on destroying his father after. That’s where Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) comes in. Michael’s plan to take down Sonny included using Dex as an informant. Michael advised Dex to do whatever it takes to earn Sonny’s trust. The ELQ Executive told Dex to get as close to Sonny as a son… oh the irony!

According to General Hospital spoilers and rumors, Sonny and Dex’s table talk could be a hint toward the truth behind Dex. Trusted by Sonny and involved with his step daughter Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), Dex is well intertwined in Sonny’s life. Moreover, Sonny and Dex’s dinner conversation revealed similarities between the mobster and his new prodigy. There’s a lot Dex is keeping from Sonny, including his relationship with Joss. However, GH rumors hint that the closer Dex gets to Sonny, the more he’ll want to reveal. In addition, GH rumors speculate that sooner rather than later Dex comes clean. Whenever there’s secrets, something happens that makes it impossible to keep.

If Josslyn becomes pregnant, it’s possible that Dex comes clean about his relationship with Joss and who he really works for. Will Dex’s honestly push Michael out of the son spot while simultaneously making him a Grandpa again with Joss?

Dex’s loyalty to Michael seems to come out of left field. However, his display of concern for Sonny seems genuine. Is it possible that Dex is torn between wanting revenge on both Sonny and Michael while also feeling a connection?

General Hospital rumors claim Dex is playing both sides as he has an agenda of his own. GH rumors speculate Dex has a personal vendetta against Sonny; and Michael too! Michael just might get exactly what he’s wished for. He told Dex to gain Sonny’s trust by filling a void in his life. A lost son was what Michael advised him to become in order for Sonny to open up. At the end of the day, family is family. When it comes to loyalty, is blood thicker than water? So many possibilities could arise if Dex turns out to be Sonny’s son. Michael wants nothing to do with Sonny, as Dex could be longing for the father he never had. Will he have a change of heart and choose to give Sonny a chance at fatherhood?
