That’s why if anyone dares to pull the wool over Sonny’s eyes and he manages to uncover them, that traitor better look out!

According to General Hospital recaps, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) came to Port Charles for all the wrong reasons. He was eager to work and had nothing to lose. Thats when Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) hired Dex to work undercover to access incriminating evidence against Sonny. Back then Michael was hell bent on making Sonny pay. Although Michael came to his senses and called off the mission, Dex continued to work for both Sonny and a Michael in secret. And this time, Carly and Michael kept Dex on payroll to protect Sonny from his the enemy.

Fast forward to present day, and Sonny knows exactly what his family has done. He found out that not only Carly and Michael, but Dex betrayed him too. But instead of normal protocol, Sonny handled Dex a bit differently.

We all know what Sonny does to a traitor- so why did he spare the young man who was originally hired to destroy him? Could it be that both Sonny and Dex developed a soft spot for one another? However, their secret from Sonny was hardly a betrayal.

Truly, I don’t believe that the excitement has slowed down even in the slightest. There is no doubt in my mind that Steve’s come back is the most anticipated event in recent GH history. That said there is a lot of potential for Jason Morgan’s new path.

In a recent interview, Hofer discloses how his role went from a short term thing to a more permanent role. He explained that he was about to film his very first scenes alongside ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith. Even continued to explain that GH Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, pulled him aside. “But I’m getting ready for my first scenes with him and we’re about to roll and Frank pulls me aside and tells me, “Hey, you know, you’ve shown us some great layers and great stuff we could never imagine. How do you feel about sticking around a little more permanently?’” he went on. “And I was speechless and went, ‘Yes… sounds good… yes… yes sir… yes sir.’ And he goes, ‘Cool. I’m gonna call your agent.’”

Evan’s enthusiasm may have been camouflaged by his demanding schedule. As soon as Frank told him the news, he has to run into his next scene. However, he couldn’t have been more excited. The decision was a no brained. Hofer confesses, “I think I thought about it for point-five seconds.” His mother was immediately called to share the news.
