General Hospital Spoilers: Sonny Fills A Void That Jason Left, Dex Finds A Father Figure

Dex replaces Jason with Sonny?! Sonny Corinthos is so many things to so many people. His loyalty extends to those who equally practice and display the same loyalty. If you’re in a position to mean something to Sonny and vice versa, then consider yourself lucky.

Evidently, Sonny makes such an impression that even some of his enemies end up as friends and more. One enemy in particular is Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). The junior gangster was born for this position, quite literally. When Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) found Dex, they were both sure they would bring Sonny down. Hence, Dex was once Sonny’s secret enemy. But despite his initial intentions, Dex spills his true feelings.

General Hospital recaps revisit Dex’s confession as he tells Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) what a Sonny now means to him. He explained, “I’ve never had anyone in my life like him. I just feel like he’s taught me so much about what it means to be a man.” Immediately, this scene bright fans to social media platforms with buzz about Dex and Sonny. According to the latest GH rumors, Dex had a deeper reason for wanting coming Port Charles. As it turns out, working for Michael wasn’t just for Michael’s benefit in his quest to destroy his father. Instead, taking the job was a means to an end for Dex.

Previously, speculation about Dex’s connections pointed straight to Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). Since Maurice Benard revealed that he’s done with Sonny having kids, some fans finally jumped off the. bandwagon that claims Dex is Sonny’s son. However, Jason is another story. Dex just admitted he’s never had a father figure. And just as GH Blog predicted, Dex longed for that connection. Odds are he came to PC to get revenge on the man who (unknowingly) took his father away.

See, GH rumors claim that Dex grew up without a father and it’s possible his mother told him that Jason chose mob life over fatherhood. So he came to PC for answers and revenge. But he never imagined he’d find what he was always looking for. A father figure.

Last time he checked, Joss was still with Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), the guy she fell for as she was falling out of love with Cam. That can’t be easy to swallow. But Cameron has had some time to sit with the situation and is stronger than when he left.

According to GH spoilers, Carly initiates Cameron’s return to Port Charles. Now that she owns Kelly’s she’s going to need to be shown the ropes from someone who knows how it all works. Before he left for college, Cameron pretty much ran the diner by himself, leaving him with a lot of experience.

Carly has a little mini me, right down to the mobster of a man in her life, and the hypocrisy. Sure, we love Carly. And compared to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros), Carly’s ethical practices start to look like Mother Theresa is her guiding light. But there’s no mistaken that Carly has ruffled quite a few feathers in her day.

As it seems, hypocrisy runs in the family. Currently, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and his sister are both keeping a secret from their mom. In addition to this secret, Michael’s hypocrisy shines as we’ve seen him engage in mob-like activities, all while claiming to take down his father because of his immoral practices. As for Joss, she’s entangled in the mob while looking down on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Despite their history with the mobster, Michael and Joss want him put away. Unexpectedly, Joss fell for Michael’s informant, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). But at this point, it’s more than he’s been willing to admit. His mission was to get solid evidence against Michael’s own father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). With that, Michael planned to turn over the evidence, and secure Sonny’s future behind bars.

Somewhere along the way Dex fell for Michael’s sister, Sonny’s ex stepdaughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). At first, Joss and Dex’s relationship was a secret because of Michael and Sonny. Neither wanted Dex anywhere near Joss, but she and Dex are adults who couldn’t resist the chemistry between them.

Currently, their relationship is out in the open, and Sonny’s blessing was an added bonus. When he found out, he told Josslyn that her mother is the only one who has a true say in what she does. As for Dex, Sonny was disappointed he kept the secret. However, Dex has saved Sonny’s life so it’s almost as if Sonny gave him a free pass.

According to General Hospital spoilers, Dex makes a choices about his future. Now that Michael called off the mission Dex risked his life for, Dex faces two unsatisfying options. Sonny Corinthos and his daughter Kristina are as close as can be. Over the years, their relationship has stood the test of time. Even through her teen years and awkward moments, Kristina and Sonny grew together instead of apart. As she grew and changed, Sonny always supported his daughter. Now, even as an adult, Kristina looks to her father’s support for comfort. Thankfully, she still has dear ole dad around to pick her up when she’s down.

Meanwhile, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) still plans to carry out Michael Corinthos’s (Chad Duell) orders to bust Sonny. As GH recaps recall, Michael hired Dex as an informant to investigate his own father. Along the way, Dex fell in love with Michael’s stepsister Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
