Evan Hofer reveals how he got into acting!

…All aboard! General Hospital often welcomes new faces to the cast family. With new faces comes new talent, so we embrace the addition. However, from time to time a newbie arrives and doesn’t really sit well with the audience. I think it’s safe to say that’s not the case for Evan Hofer.

General Hospital news reports confirm that GH’s newest good-hearted bad boy is a Kansas native. Evan’s older sister wanted to pursue a career in entertainment, so when he was around 14-15 years old, Evan’s family moved out to California. In an interview, Evan Hofer reveals what inspired him to act, and explained the early days of his pursuit.

Hofer refers back to his sister who wanted to pursue he career in music. It was then that his family moved from Kansas to Cali, opening up opportunities for Evan as well. When Evan was around 14, his sister’s interest lead him down his own path. “She [sister] started to do plays… and I just wanted to spend time with her,” he admitted, “so I got into it as well, just so I could hang out with her. It all worked out well, and I fell in love with it.”

Evan Hofer Reveals GH Experience

GH spoilers reveal Hofer has had experience in recurring Disney roles, such as in Disney’s Kickin’ It. Hofer admitted that he auditioned for other soap roles, along with other GH roles. Thankfully, Dex Heller was the perfect fit. He joined GH on May 5th, 2022. Hofer reveals he’s grateful for his experience. “I am really grateful that so much of my stuff early on was with Mo,” he states. “This is a new medium for me and I’ve been able to learn from him. Mo really took me under his wing on day one. I actually found out after I met him the first day we worked together that we’ve both worked with Frances Fisher [ex-Suzette, Guiding Light], who is a wonderful, spectacular actor that I learned a ton from when I worked with her a few years ago. She told me, ‘You’re working with Maurice! I know Maurice! We did a movie together [Lucy & Desi: Before The Laughter]!’ It kind of became a great connection for Mo and me.”

Sharing the truth with only his employee, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), his plan was almost free from exposure. Ironically, Dex fell for Sonny’s stepdaughter and Michael’s sister, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), which lead to her finding out Michael’s plan.

Currently, the Corinthos family is under intense stress. As Michael, Carly, Joss, among others, gather to support Willow, they discuss other issues. But there’s no mistaken that Carly has ruffled quite a few feathers in her day.

As it seems, hypocrisy runs in the family. Currently, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and his sister are both keeping a secret from their mom. In addition to this secret, Michael’s hypocrisy shines as we’ve seen him engage in mob-like activities, all while claiming to take down his father because of his immoral practices. As for Joss, she’s entangled in the mob while looking down on Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

But at this point, it’s more than he’s been willing to admit. His mission was to get solid evidence against Michael’s own father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). With that, Michael planned to turn over the evidence, and secure Sonny’s future behind bars.

Somewhere along the way Dex fell for Michael’s sister, Sonny’s ex stepdaughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy). At first, Joss and Dex’s relationship was a secret because of Michael and Sonny. Neither wanted Dex anywhere near Joss, but she and Dex are adults who couldn’t resist the chemistry between them.

Currently, their relationship is out in the open, and Sonny’s blessing was an added bonus. When he found out, he told Josslyn that her mother is the only one who has a true say in what she does. As for Dex, Sonny was disappointed he kept the secret. However, Dex has saved Sonny’s life so it’s almost as if Sonny gave him a free pass.

According to General Hospital spoilers, Dex makes a choices about his future. Now that Michael called off the mission Dex risked his life for, Dex faces two unsatisfying options. Sonya Eddy and Jackie Zeman …Although we have lost some incredible people over the years, losing these two General Hospital icons hits hard. Maybe because these extraordinary women were taken so suddenly. Additionally, their status with General Hospital added to the devastation.

Although Sonya Eddy was seldomly recurring, she was still an active cast member. Epiphany Johnson’s relevance to the storylines remained ever present, even up to her untimely death.

As for Jackie Zeman, Bobbie Spencer was still heavily involved in current storylines. In fact, GH co-star and friend to Zeman, Laura Wright, reflected on the last scene filmed with her on-screen mother. In a recent serious of tweets, Laura Wright (Carly Spencer Corinthos) shared her most recent scene filmed with Jackie. Sadly, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) wedding was the last time Wright shared a scene with the late Jackie Zeman.

Sonya Eddy and Jackie Zeman are remembered for their talent, hard work, and glowing spirit on General Hospital. They leave behind a proud legacy! Please continue to keep their families in your thoughts and prayers.
