For instance, Carly Corinthos’s (Laura Wright) tragic loss sparked an idea within Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). When Carly and their kids thought Sonny was dead, they mourned his posts for about a year. General Hospital recaps reflect on what his family went through because of Nina’s vindictive and selfish choices. Sonny’s line of work made him a target more often than anyone can count. That being said, Carly always understood the risks but that doesn’t make the loss hurt any less. But, Carly and the kids never expected where the Corinthos family was headed next.
Although, she developed true feelings for Carly’s husband, Nina initially kept Sonny from his entire family for revenge against Carly. Thankfully, Cowboy Mike’s bonk on the head lead him straight home to Carly. Sadly, Nina took advantage of Sonny’s mental state which lead him to become conflicted.
