The time has come as we have waiting an extra four months to see this year’s annual Nurses Ball event on General Hospital.
Every year disaster strikes as Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) scurries around, trying to save the day. Some things just can’t be salvaged when what happens is so shocking you freeze in your tracks.

The Nurses Ball of General Hospital has been a tradition in Port Charles since 1994. The event is to raise money in support of AIDS/HIV research while honoring the nursing profession and all the hard work and dedication nurses bring to the hospital and patients. Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) is the founder, organizer, and hostess of the big event every year, and every year Lucy doesn’t disappoint when it comes to bringing the excitement. After 2013, The Nurses Ball became an annual charity event.
Although the event typically occurs in May, due to the global pandemic, The Nurses Ball will air this week on General Hospital.
We look forward to seeing Lucy and all The Nurses Ball participants perform their many talents. And it wouldn’t be a classic, General Hospital Nurses Ball, without crazy, dramatic, and shocking, events!
2020 has definitely been a crazy year for everyone, even in fiction! The Nurses Ball at General Hospital never disappoints when people are expecting edge-of-your-seat-type of excitement and drama, and it will be no different this year.
General Hospital news and spoilers confirm the annual Nurses Ball, although a few months late, WILL go on. The show is set to go by the end of August. GH Executive Producer, Frank Valentini shares with fans a photo of the new logo for The Nurses Ball, in an invitation style tweet.

Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) is having a rough time after her breakup with Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). She and Chase (Josh Swickard) destroyed their relationships for a selfless goal to make sure Wiley gets the best home. Now Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael believe Sasha and Chase cheated on them with each other.
Now the damage is done and Sasha is trying to work through the heartbreak and maintain a successful modeling career at Deception. As previous General Hospital spoilers have revealed, Sasha is headed down a dark path after being offered drugs and was told it would help her get through her shoots when she isn’t feeling her best.

Sasha has already been late and shown up to work w complete mess and odds are it won’t be her last offense.
General Hospital rumors claim Maxie and Lucy will make an executive decision to replace Sasha as the ‘Face of Deception.’ Will Sasha’s career be over so soon due to her self destructive decisions? Or will Maxie and Lucy give Sasha another chance?
In the 1990’s Julia Barrett founded Port Charles’s own cosmetics company, Deception. She launched the business with Dominique (Shell Danielson) and Scotty Baldwin and hired Julia’s sister Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil) as the very first ‘Face of Deception.’ According to General Hospital history, when Dominique passed away in 1994, Scotty and Julian left the company, and left Lucy to run things as CEO. From there, the rest is history.
Fast forward twenty some years and Deception has found a new face and is ready to launch the modern day version of the cosmetic company. Things were starting to fall into place for Lucy when she discovered Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson). Sasha was the perfect woman to represent Deception and Lucy was ready to run with it. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Lucy are working together to make sure this project becomes a success and they are counting on Sasha to help make that happen. Sasha is going through some major drama in her life after she and Michael broke up. Sasha is feeling overwhelmed and caved into being persuaded into taking drugs.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Sasha’s drug use isn’t just a one time thing. Unfortunately, she is headed down a dark path which could jeopardize her own career as well as Deception as a whole.
As General Hospital rumors regarding the return of Brenda Barrett circulate, the story line has the potential to head into a direction no one saw coming. She and Detective Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) made a tough decision to fake an affair in order to push along Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) and Michael in their quest to gain custody of Wiley.
General Hospital spoilers reveal things will get a Hell of a lot worse for Sasha before they ever begin to get better. She was offered drugs as a way to get her through her modeling shoots for Deception. Michael is preoccupied with challenging Nelle Benson (Chloe Lanier) and her new husband, Julian Jerome (William DeVry), in the courtroom as they go about their custody battle. Although Sasha’s selfless act is for the greater good, her decision will ultimately serve as a form of self destruction for the young model. She is going to need someone in her corner as this downward spiral progresses.

There are many people around Sasha that will care about her well being- possibly even a co-worker. Perhaps Lucy will take Sasha under her wing and guide her out of the darkness a drug habit will create. Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) has been a loyal and caring friend to Lulu Spencer (Emme Rylan) as well as Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco), displaying her caring heart. Maxie May notice something is off with Sasha and try to figure out how to help. Chase has always been a loyal friend and since he and Sasha made the decision to fake the affair, it’s likely he could be the one to take notice and come to Sasha’s rescue.

General Hospital comings and goings previously reported the exit of two male characters, Dr. Maddox (Anthony Montgomery) and Dr. Munro (Matt Cohen) whom are leaving Port Charles. seal the deal with Peter August (Wes Ramsey) on the house she had listed. However, Peter was caught up in one of his schemes and decided to not go through with it. Upon Lucy’s return. she will be seeing out Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson), trying to convince her to be the new ‘Face of Deception.’ In Lucy’s expert opinion she believes Sasha would be perfect to represent the cosmetic company as many beautiful Port Charles residents have before her. Brenda Barrett (Vanessa Marcil), the original ‘Face of Deception’ was brought up by Lucy, making a comparison between the iconic model and the new fresh face, Sasha. General Hospital rumors immediately started swirling, making claims that Vanessa Marcil could make an appearance as Brenda Barrett to consult with Lucy and Sasha. There has been no confirmation of Marcil returning, so far just fan speculation. GH Blog will keep fans posted on GH comings and goings.
Will Lucy succeed in convincing Sasha to work for her as the “Face of Deception’?
Lucy Coe has hosted the Nurses Ball since the very beginning, and even a few years back when Nurse Santiago revived the Ball, Lucy was there to kick it off. Fans will be happy to know that Lynn Herring is returning to General Hospital for GH’s Nurses Ball and beyond.
And what would be a Nurses Ball without the person it was based around in the first place? The Nurses Ball is intended to bring awareness to HIV and AIDS, and raise money for it’s research. Dr. Robin Scorpio Drake will be returning to Port Charles for the big event. Kimberly McCullough will be on set without TV husband Jason Thompson (Dr. Patrick Drake).

An old General Hospital tradition was brought back, along with the characters who originally took part in legacy.
Lucy Coe has always been the host of this big event, and it still remains uncertain whether or not Lynn Herring will be back this May for the show. Odds are, she will be right there, up front and center, falling out of her gown somehow.

Jon Lindstrom will be returning to General Hospital, as Port Charles’ most well known psychiatrist, Dr. Kevin Collins. Married to Lucy Coe, ‘Doc’ was last seen in Port Charles after he and his wife had a falling out over her feelings for another man. Lucy and Kevin split after having some trouble in paradise, which led Lucy to go astray with none other than her male BFF, Scotty Baldwin.
It’s been a while since we have seen his counterpart, Lynn Herring, as Lucy Coe hanging around Port Charles. General Hospital rumors imply that Lucy will also be making a come back during this time. Hopefully these two love birds will be able to work out their differences and get back together.
