Currently, Mac Scorpio has a potentially prominent storyline. Cody Bell waltzed into Mac’s life and everything is about to change. After GH spoilers revealed that Cody is Mac’s son, fans have been waiting for that story to unfold. However, recent GH news reports share an update on York’s GH status. John toon to Twitter/X to address fans about his recent status change with the 60 year old daytime drama.
In his announcement York explains that he’ll be on a few week long hiatus. As a result, Mac Scorpio keeps things low key. Additionally, the actor explained that he will be away from the scene for a bit. His tweet can be read below.

Josh Kelly explains, “I think he’s always felt like he didn’t belong anywhere, but if he belongs anywhere, it’s in Port Charles. He’s got Dante and Mac and Mac’s whole family — even Maxie, even though they’re not technically related. Kirsten [Storms, Maxie] and I have a really fun time together; it seems like we have kind of a brother/sister friendship because we’re always giggling when we have scenes and we have to be like, ‘Okay, stop, stop.’ But he really does like Mac’s family and wants to stay friends with Mac even though he lied about the paternity test.”
I know that we’re excited to see Josh Kelly stick around as Cody Bell. There’s so much to be discovered about Cody; starting with whatever he and Dante are hiding. Will Sam (Kelly Monaco) get to the bottom of it?
