So far, the guests and recipients seemed a little unimpressed with what Victor left behind. Although it seems these items are meaningless, Victor doesn’t do anything without meaning behind it. Ultimately, one thing lead to another and soon enough Ava took a swing that changed everything.

General Hospital recaps recall Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) desperate attempt to stop a threat. Remember, Nikolas became unhinged leading up to his disappearance. Eventually, his poor choices lead to his divorce from Ava, and the fact that she obtained Wyndemere sent him over the edge. What was Ava supposed to do when Nikolas came marching in, barking about taking Avery? She did what she had to do to ensure her daughter’s safety. Besides, other than practically killing him, she did Nikolas a huge solid. Otherwise Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) would have completed the job. No one messes with Sonny’s kids or the mother(s) of his children. Honestly, Nikolas should consider himself lucky.

Before he disappeared, she took his home in the divorce, and then almost killed him in the same home where they shared their lives together. When she woke, Esme opened her eyes to Laura Spencer (Genie Francis) bringing her back to consciousness. It was then that she remembered that Baby Ace was stolen.

This experience would traumatize anyone, especially a new mother that has amnesia. Although traumatic, her experience with Ace’s kidnapping showcased her true feelings as a mother. It’s obvious that Esme isn’t the same conniving and dangerous young woman she once was. Her love and devotion to her child displays a much softer, and even lovable side.

According to General Hospital spoilers, Spencer sees Esme’s love for Ace. The only Esme he knows is the one who conned him, the one who drove him and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) apart. Spencer sees Esme as his psycho ex-girlfriend who slept with his father. Also, she tortured Ava, and her family tree is quite frightening.

GH Recaps: Currently, Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) and company are aboard the Haunted Star. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and his baby brother Ace (Joey and Jay Clay) were kidnapped as part of Uncle Victor’s grand Cassadine plan. We can’t forget that Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) is also among Victor’s prisoners. In addition, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) is the only one other than Victor who is aboard the ship voluntarily. She snuck onto the boat when she senses that Spencer was in trouble. Evidently, Trina’s instincts were spot on.

General Hospital spoilers tease that Victor keeps dangling “family” in Spencer’s face. He acts as though all of his crazy antics are carried out in the name of “family.” But what exactly does that mean anyways? As far as Spencer is concerned, “family” is important to those who make it important. For example, Spencer believes his father didn’t make the family of great importance. Instead, he feels abandoned and mistreated by Nikolas. Now that Nikolas is missing, Spencer does what it takes to make sure his brother Ace is safe. Could SHE be pulling the strings? No matter which crazy Cassadine, it’s likely Nikolas won’t oblige. If he awakens, he can turn the tables on Victor to save his two sons!

It’s unlikely that the Nurses Ball runs smoothly. With Victor on the prowl, a mob war brewing, and Willow’s transplant around the corner, the possibilities for disaster are endless. General Hospital spoilers indicate that Ava and Austin Holt (Roger Howarth) get the shock of a lifetime when Nikolas returns during the Nurses Ball. Furthermore, Mason (Nathanyael Grey) has Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma/Adam Huss) at an undisclosed location. After Ava presumed him dead, Nikolas is actually alive and about to make an appearance.

General Hospital casting news reports have yet to confirm any recast for Nikolas Cassadine. In a shocking GH news revelation, it was previously confirmed that Marcus Coloma had been let go from his role. Coloma played the dark Prince, Nikolas Cassadine, for 3 years. When his contract was up, TPTB over at General Hospital did not negotiate a renewal.

No matter how hard she tries, she can’t seem to convince Spencer that she is worthy mother. Ace is Esme’s number one priority. Despite her past, the new mom displays responsible, loving, and logical behavior toward and regarding her newborn son. Even still, Spencer and Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) plot to take the child from his own mother.

Esme Wants Nikolas Gone

Thankfully, Esme has one less Cassadine to worry about. In the latest General Hospital previews, Esme is heard insinuating that she wants him to stay gone. GH rumors claim that “him” is in reference to Nikolas Cassadine. It’s true, she could also be referring to Spencer. He’s off to his meeting with Uncle Vic and has finally left her side. No matter how you slice it, one less Cassadine is one less problem for this new mom. Esme’s going the best she can given the circumstances. It’s bad enough that she doesn’t know who she can trust. So, adding another Cassadine to stake their claim is just another added obstacle.

General Hospital spoilers tease that the well-being of Esme’s baby is judged by self-serving adults who are out to settle a score. Ace’s mother brought him into the world with no recollection of who she was. Moreover, Esme doesn’t even remember her baby’s father. Apparently, a jump into ice cold water while pregnant will do that. After saving herself from imprisonment by her alleged baby’s father, Esme became a completely different person. But, just because her traumatic experiences erased her memory, they don’t erase her last crimes.

With Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma/Adam Huss) missing, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) thought he had his custody motion in the bag. As baby Ace’s big half brother, Spencer figured he’d be granted custody over Ace’s unfit/absent parents. However, Esme wants nothing to do with her ex-boyfriend raising her child. Her hands are ties as she awaits judgement day. Legally, it looks like Esme is able to bring baby Ace to Spring Ridge upon her time of sentencing. But, incarceration isn’t really an a life event a baby should experience.

As General Hospital spoilers recall, Ava and Austin stood by as Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Detective Bennett (Kendrick Cross) broke open the lock on the closet door. Once opened, the closet revealed Nik’s belongings left behind. Quietly, Ava and Austin exchanged confused looks.

How did Nikolas’s body disappear from behind locked doors? Ava swore Nikolas was dead after she clubbed him over the head. So, she and Austin went over the events that occurred that lead to Nik’s final hiding spot. They couldn’t understand he he’d gotten away. However, Austin might know more than Ava thinks.

General Hospital spoilers and rumors suggest that Austin knows where Nikolas is. His relationship with his cousin Mason complicates things for Ava. Thus, Esme faking her memory loss wasn’t off the table. However, the new mom genuinely fears her so-called mother, Heather Webber (Alley Mills) and her late father Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom). Esme showed a side of herself that no one has seen before. Still, her ex-boyfriend Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) remains skeptical. He’s stuck on the notion that he will win custody of Esme’s baby. While Esme faces charges and possible jail time, Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) whereabouts remain unknown.
