Esme returned to Port Charles after Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) presumed she was dead. At that point it was apparent Nikolas couldn’t possibly in two places at once. It was then believed the hook attacks on the people of Port Charles were random acts like random acts of violence.

She voiced her concerns regarding the common factor among all victims. Portia concluded all victims were tied to Trina except Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor).

Esme also managed fo frame Trina for recording revenge porn on her own two besties. These events have fueled Trina’s fears and brought her to the tough decisions she has to make today.
