Sonny Corinthos is back! Are the days of “SMike” over? Sonny Corinthos’s mob life resulted in an identity crisis. After suffering amnesia, entrapment, deception, and false reality, Sonny as we knew him was gone.
General Hospital recaps recall Sonny’s devastating transformation two years ago. His amnesia gave Nina the prime opportunity to make her move. Ad a result, she took advantage of his vulnerability. After that, choices made about Sonny’s own life were made by the man he became after Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) knowingly kept him from his wife and children.
General Hospital rumors indicate that it’s time “Mike” exits stage left and Sonny Corinthos steps back into the life he was meant to live.
In a recent Twitter conversation, General Hospital’s leading man gave insight on whats ahead for Sonny Corinthos. A fan tweeted about Sonny returning as himself after being trapped inside of “Mike.” That said, GH rumors speculate that the upcoming mob drama will bring out what we’ve all been missing- the TRUE Sonny Corinthos! The Emmy winner warned fans to, “hold onto your horses,” when it comes to seeing Sonny again. He added, “you will see him slowly, but surely.”
After reading Benard’s tweet, fans rest assure we haven’t seen the last of the legendary mobster. His statement definitely sounds like a promise; one that Maurice Benard is going to keep. According to GH spoilers and rumors, Sonny finds his way back to Carly.
We look forward to seeing it all unfold!
Sonny’s coming hold onto your horses you will see him slowly, but surely
Right now GH fans are on opposite ends of the opinion poll when it comes to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his love interest. Are you Team Sonny and Carly or are you Team Sonny and Nina?
General Hospital spoilers reveal the drama surrounding Sonny, Carly, Nina, and Michael especially, will continue to intensify as the upcoming weeks unfold.
General Hospital news reports confirm that Benard has turned to Twitter to praise his cast mate’s acting skills, and get fans excited about what’s coming up between Sonny and his son Michael.
According to recent General Hospital spoilers, Maurice hints at what’s to come, teasing, “Wait till you see what’s coming up in the next month the acting that’s been going on @duelly is unreal. You can’t everybody happy I learned that along time ago. Talk is cheap, in the end acting will prevail.”
General Hospital spoilers indicate that Michael’s scheme to use Dex Heller to take down Sonny is only the beginning. His diabolical plot will take sonny for a loop, as Sonny would never have expected his own son would take things this far. Why not, though? Sonny was so quick to threaten Michael, telling him if he ever shut the door on him like that again it would be his last.
At the end of the day, Sonny better hope Nina is worth it! He lost his wife and stepdaughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), and his son has completely turned against him. Sonny’s about to suffer much more than being shut out by his family.
The Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) pairing is one of the most controversial of all in daytime tv.
The love story between Sonny and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) is so iconic that fans are having a hard time seeing him with someone else. After yesterday’s episode where Sonny and Nina danced at The Savoy, fans didn’t waste one moment before turning to social media to express their opinions. Although some fans are happy to see Sonny happy with Nina, the majority of the General Hospital fan base is strongly against the pairing.
General Hospital news reports reveal Maurice Benard had to fire back at one fan’s negativity. General Hospital spoilers reveal a fan tweeted, “I wish they just killed Sonny in that fire.” Maurice couldn’t sit by and let that slide. The 3 time Emmy winner replied, “Oh boy you better take that back before my fans get upset ????????????????????????????????????????????just because I’m not with the one you want does it mean I am not busting my butt trying to do the best work of my life. But I still ???? “
We fully support Maurice Benard and any story line he is given! Never would we wish his departure from General Hospital as we feel he is the heart of the show. Much love you Maurice and Cynthia Watros.
The storyline around Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and his life as a mob boss in Port Charles, NY, has been one of the main focal points of General Hospital for decades.
Today, Sonny Corinthos and his portrayer Maurice Benard have become the core of the daytime drama, some arguing more-so than even the story lines involving the Hospital itself.
General Hospital news and spoilers let GH fans in on a major spoiler revolving around Sonny’s current live triangle with his wife Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) and the woman who kept him from Carly and their family, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros).
Well there’s good news and bad news, whichever way you look at it, whether you’re Team CarSon or Team SoNa. General Hospital spoilers reveal Benard has dropped HUGE spoilers via Twitter. In a recent tweet, Maurice spilled the tea on what’s up with Sonny in PC. He revealed that Sonny is about to get dark. We will soon be seeing “Badass Sonny” but not before things begin with a “sprinkle of Mike.” Benard then goes on to promise that “he [Sonny] gets the girl in the end.”
SoNa fans are taking this as a hint Sonny will end up with Nina, while CarSon fans take Maurice’s “he gets the girl in the end,” statement refers to the love of his life, Carly.
Some GH fans believe Maurice hinted that Sonny will eventually come around despite his discouraging behavior toward his son Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell). In a tweet from a fan, the fan expressed their concern for Sonny’s irrational behavior, praising Michael for his reasonable logic, and calling the “Sonny” character “weak.” The GH spoiler lies in Benard’s reply when he commented, “It’s not how you start it’s how you finish.”
Was Maurice hinting that although Sonny isn’t acting in alignment with his true self, eventually he will come around? General Hospital rumors lean toward the assumption that Sonny will eventually find his way, although Benard also admits that after amnesia, Sonny will never be exactly the same man as he was prior to the incident on the bridge with Julian Jerome (William deVry).
These are some intense GH spoilers dropped by Maurice Benard himself, with insight on what’s ahead for Sonny, Carly, their family, and Nina.
In one month a lot goes on on GH. Stories great everybody’s acting their ass off. Sonny starts to get dark he starts to figure things out Bad ass Sonny begins with a sprinkle of Mike. And he gets the girl in the end pic.twitter.com/20Ku0TjlZK
It’s a common phrase we hear often, “you can’t please them all.” Its true that no matter how hard we try, it’s impossible to please everyone all of the time. That goes for everything, but it’s important to remember that in situations which are trivial, fiction, and meant for entertainment.
General Hospital news reports reveal GH fans have been generously expressive in giving their opinion on the current Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) love triangle.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Sonny and Carly could be facing the end, as the storyline needs to run it’s course. After a recent tweet by Maurice Benard, it looks as the the story will continue with Sonny and Nina giving their feelings a shot after things just become too much for Carly and Sonny.
In the tweet below, Benard jumps to GH’s defense, pointing out that despite the haters on social media, General Hospital ratings are up, proving that fans are still engaged as they watch Sonny struggle with his bipolar disorder as his life falls down around him.
Benard wants fans to know the importance of being aware that at the end of the day, General Hospital is just a TV show and that all this unwanted criticism should be channeled into something more positive. He makes a point to affirm that the storylines are always about what’s best for the show and what brings in the ratings. As for now, ratings are all Benard needs to know in order to continue on and be proud of the work he and the GH cast have been doing.
Actually I’ve been married over 30 years I have only been with my wife but this is a TV show and TV shows need to have ratings. And fortunately or unfortunately for you they’re doing great. It’s always about what’s best for the show nothing personal
Keep up the good work! We here at General Hospital Blog appreciate the work that’s put in by the cast in order to deliver stellar entertainment. No matter which road the story goes down, we are here for the ride!
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is in the eye of the storm as the events in his life have lined up in such a way that has caused Sonny’s mental health to take a rapid decline.
General Hospital news reports remind GH fans that not only does Sonny Corinthos battle mental health issues such as bipolar dispersed, as does Sonny’s portrayer, Maurice Benard. Benard is very open about his mental health, raising awareness with his YouTube series, State of Mind.
Due to the nature of the current storyline which involves Sonny going through a manic episode. Maurice has been receiving a lot of tweets as fans are concerned for his mental health. They truly care and want to make sure that Benard’s work life isn’t taking a toll on his real life. General Hospital spoilers reveal Benard has addressed fan’s concerns surrounding his own personal mental health and how going to work, and playing out Sonny’s current story has an effect in his daily life.
General Hospital spoilers reveal, Maurice explained that although his acting as Sonny is particularly dark at this time, he assures fans of exactly that- it’s acting. He is ale to separate the role from real life, even when it hits this close to home.
Take a look at the video below as Maurice explains and gives fans a reason to rest easier now, knowing that Maurice is holding up very well through Sonny’s darkest hours. ❤️
GH’s Maurice and Ingo offend Nancy Lee Grahn. General Hospital star Maurice Benard is a fan favorite. He’s famously known and loved for portraying family-oriented mobster, Sonny Corinthos. The Emmy winning actor is also for his kind heart, his dedication to community outreach, raising mental health awareness, his sense of humor, and much more.
General Hospital news reports reveal Maurice’s recent Instagram video with co-star Ingo Rademacher caused backlash from fans. Benard and Rademacher’s dialogue was taken out of context and misconstrued. On screen, Sonny and Jax other than their devotion to Carly, may be polar opposites and even enemies, however, in real life they are very close friends. The two daytime tv icons (along with an earlier appearance by Kin Shriner, aka Scotty Baldwin), were part of a video posted to IG. The video featured Maurice and Ingo’s silly banter. Among the topics discussed were Kin and Ingo’s hair, as well as, working on the GH set.
Maurice Benard and Ingo Rademacher’s video causes a stir
General Hospital spoilers reveal details of the Instagram video in question. Ingo points out that he is about to go work with his “friend.” Then, Benard asks Ingo whom. When Ingo points to Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis), Benard says, “Oh I’m sorry man,” and the two playfully laugh. According to GH spoilers, GH’s Maurice and Ingo offend Nancy with their backstage performance.
It’s no secret that Ingo and Nancy have had their issues. Previously, General Hospital Blog reported GH news that stated Nancy blocked her co-star Ingo Rademacher from her Twitter account. Unfortunately, Ingo and Nancy have a rocky relationship in recent times. It’s understood that Maurice was simply making light of their past situation when his playful comment got blown out of proportion. In the Instagram video below, you can see Maurice and Ingo’s playful and light hearted exchange.
GH news confirms Maurice Benard issued an apology, explaining his intentions. In addition to an apology, he emphasized his respect for Nancy Lee Grahn. Take a look at Maurice’s apology in the tweet below.
I want to say I got a hold of Nancy. She gave me her feelings I gave her mine. I respect Nancy a great deal and I apologize if I offended anyone. I tease like this with all my friends, just ask Chad,Steve,Dom,and Laura. Always in a playful way
We hope all parties involved have cleared the air and found a way to move on from this. Benard reminded fans of his playful nature while calling on other co-stars. Chad Duell (Michael Corinthos), Dominic Zamprogna (Dante Falconeri), are among the many of Maurice’s friends who partake in Maurice’s lighthearted fun.
We hope Maurice has the happiest of birthdays!! We ❤️ you, Maurice!
The cast and crew of General Hospital make it pretty tobciisu that they are not only co-stars, but real friends off screen as well. They are there to support and pick one another up just like any good, loyal friends would.
Maurice Benard congratulated co- star Chad Duell’s (Michael Corinthos) girlfriend and fellow soap star, Courtney Hope, in her latest career endeavor. The iconic GH star replied to TV Journalist, Michael Fairman’s tweet with positive emojis and words of encouragement. Benard writes, “Go kick butt,” in reply to Hope.
General Hospital news reports Courtney Hope is jointing they cast of CBS Network’s, The Young and the Restless.
GH Blog sends good luck vibes and well wishes to Ms. Hope as she begins her new journey.
Maurice Benard Celebrates 22 Years as Sonny Corinthos
Maurice Benard Celebrates 22 Years as Sonny Corinthos! General Hospital news and spoilers report an impressive milestone. His hard work and dedication to the role is appreciated by GH fans across the board.
Reportedly, today marks the day that Maurice Benard debuted as Port Charles mobster, Sonny Corinthos. On August 13th, 1993, Sonny arrived in Port Charles. He quickly made a name for himself around town, and he soon developed a reputation.
General Hospital Blog would like to congratulate Maurice on his 22 year run as one of the most well known television names in Daytime TV. According to recent GH news, Maurice tells fans how he only wanted to sign a 6 month contract with the Soap Opera. However, things didn’t happen quite like that. Thankfully, 6 months as Sonny Corinthos turned into over two decades. Twenty-two years later and we still race to our television sets every day of the week. And after cliffhanger Friday, Monday can’t come soon enough.
To many fans General Hospital just wouldn’t be the same without the mob boss. Undoubtedly, Port Charles changed forever when Maurice joined GH’s cast as Sonny Corinthos. We want to thank Maurice for his hard work and talents, and everything he does to keep fans coming back for more.
@WeLoveSoapsTV I only wanted a six month contract? I couldn’t leave
On September 23, General Hospital Blog reported that actor Maurice Benard who has played Port Charles top dog when it comes to the mob- and women, Sonny Corinthos, since 1993, may be leaving General Hospital to pursue other opportunities. According to Soaps in Depth magazine, it was noted that Benard had not yet signed a contract with ABC’s General Hospital to renew his current status with the show.
However, in a brief conversation with fans, Maurice had a different tune in regard to his plans for his future at General Hospital.
Sonny Corinthos fans can sleep easier tonight, knowing that the talented actor will be staying at General Hospital, a place that he calls, “home.” Benard will manage to stay at GH while expanding his horizons and working on other projects.
