General Hospital’s Maurice Benard
Maurice Benard is a three-time Daytime winner for his role as Sonny Corinthos on ABC’s General Hospital. Benard joined the Soap Opera in August of 1993. Since then Port Charles has never been the same. Organized crime has become an ongoing problem on the local and even Federal level.
The Port Charles Police Department has their work cut out for them when it comes to PC’s most prominent mob boss. When he first arrive in 1993, Sonny was law enforcement’s number one priority. Today, the fact remains that Sonny gives the authorities a run for the money. He’s been arrested and detained, and even put on trial. But the PCPD and the Feds have yet to stick the landing.
Maurice dishes on Maura! Let’s be honest, the night Sonny and Ava gave into impulsive lead them to where they are today. All it took was one session of hate s3x in a crypt and bam! Sonny and Ava are connected for life.
As a rival to the Corinthos Organization, the Jerome family posed an immediate threat the moment that family stepped back into Port Charles. Although Ava left the family mob business, unlike her sister Olivia, she was still as lethal as they come. Ava Jerome killed Connie Falconeri. On top of that she had a major role in Sonny’s son Morgan Corinthos’s (Bryan Craig) death.
Ironically, despite it all Sonny and Ava managed to maintain mutual respect and even cooperation as Avery’s parents. Moreover, Sonny honors Ava’s position in his life as his daughter ms mother.
According to the latest GH news and spoilers Maurice dishes on Maura West and Sonny and Ava. In a recent interview, the 2 time daytime Emmy winner discussed Sonny and Ava’s evolving relationship. It’s no secret that Sonny treated Ava “like dirt,” as Benard described, but he had his obvious reasons. However, the past is the past I supposed. Now, Maurice is happy that Sonny can be there for Ava and their daughter when in need.
Joshua Benard returns to General Hospital! School is back in session! Whenever we think of back to school, typically, our minds immediately jump to small children flexing in their new outfits and lunch boxes. Rarely do we think of all the colleges and universities that also head back to school in the Fall.
General Hospital spoilers reveal that college is in session and the students of Port Charles check back in. For now, Cameron Webber (William Lipton) is happily away at college and using his soccer scholarship. As for Trina and Joss, they head back to class as well.
If you need a refresher, GH recaps revisit when Joss and Adam first met. Last year, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) made a new acquaintance in school. At first, Adam gave Joss a hard time amidst the whole revenge p0rn video that went viral. Thanks to Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl), Josslyn received an overwhelming amount of unwanted attention. In fact, Adam was one of those people whose approach Joss could have lived without.
General Hospital casting news confirmed that Maurice’s son, Joshua Benard heads back to the canvas. According to GH spoilers, Joshua Benard returns to General Hospital as Josslyn’s school mate, Adam. The word out on the street is that Adam might come between Joss and Dex as she spends more time on campus.
All rejoicing, the real Sonny Corinthos returns right when his family needs him the most! …Sonny Corinthos’s (Maurice Benard) reputation is so strong that no matter what, true fans know the character on a deeper level and trust who he is inside. Anyone who is scared that Sonny has lost himself because of Nina, don’t be. Because General Hospital spoilers indicate that there’s no need to worry.
Despite being stuck between a cowboy and a gangster, Sonny Corinthos remains true to his character in the end.
According to GH spoilers and rumors Pikeman brings the gangster out in Sonny. And once he breaks through there is no going back. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) banked on the notion that Sonny never finds himself. Selfishly, she hopes that he never looks further than the shallow version of him that she created.
Although he named himself Mike, Sonny suffered from amnesia as Nina took advantage of his vulnerability. So all this time Nina has lived in her own reality that Sonny holds on to a bit of Mike- enough to keep her in her comfort soon. But that’s not the case now. Instead, the real Sonny Corinthos returns right when his family needs him the most. This Pikeman situation requires strength and power, and that’s not Mike. Mark Carly’s words, she’s getting back everything Nina has taken from her! EVERYTHING.
Once a Cassadine, always a Cassadine! Could it be true that Nikolas and Valentin are Pikeman?!?! It’s a fact! Despite what Ava was told, her ex-husband Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) isn’t dead. In fact, he’s very much alive. Some might say that he’s more alive than ever before. With a Cassadine bloodline comes power and expectations, along with loyalty to the family.
Previously, GH spoilers and rumors teased that Valentin Cassadine is heavily involved with Pikeman- more so than he ever let Anna know. Before Victor Cassadine’s (Charles Shaughnessy) death, he and his son Valentin didn’t see eye to eye. Victor wanted Cassadine unity in order to take over Port Charles, and the world. However, Valentin opposed such control and rejected evil Cassadine ways. But what if Victor had special plans for his son in The Haunted Star? Plans that maybe Valentin couldn’t refuse.
Never Trust A Cassadine- Nik and Val Follow In Victor’s Footsteps?
GH spoilers and rumors tease that Nikolas and Valentin joined forces to carry out Victor’s wishes. Undoubtedly, each and every Cassadine has darkness within them. Ok, maybe not Alexis and her girls). But it’s pretty clear that Nikolas and Valentin are as dark as it gets.
Additionally, Valentin knows that Anna and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) are dear friends. So it honestly makes sense that Nikolas and Valentin would target bother Sonny and Anna. Furthermore, the connection between Anna, Sonny, and Ava to the Cassadines is enough reason why it’s quite possible that Nikolas and Valentin are Pikeman!
With so many storylines that currently flow through Port Charles, many create potential for what fans have been waiting for. In the midst of all the changes, fans believe it’s the perfect time that Steve Burton returns as Jason Morgan.
Recently, General Hospital Blog shared the latest news in Steve Burton. During a podcast interview, GH co-star Wally Kurth hinted that Steve Burton will be back soon. Since this news broke, GH spoilers are running wild with stories surround Steve Burton and his role as Jason Morgan.
According to the latest GH spoilers and news, Burton shared an interesting post to his Instagram page. Curiously, fans dissect the meaning behind his message. Check it out below!
Does Change Mean Out With DAYS and In With GH?! Steve Burton Retuns as Jason Morgan
With rumors that Steve’s days at DAYS are soon to be over come inevitable change. Last week, GH Blog shared confirmation that Steve Burton has signed a one year contract with DOOL. Of that year leaves about 6 months. That’s why fans have been up in arms over the news. Moreover, each and every storyline seems to have a reason for Jason to return. Sasha needs saving? Jason will rescue her! Sonny needs out of FBI custody? Jason saves the day! Carly needs Nina off her back? Here comes bestie!
Dante questions Michael about Sonny! …The big question hanging over Port Charles is whether or not Sonny goes down for food. His FBI arrest has Port Charles scrambling to find out who is responsible. As a detective, that’s exactly what Dante does. First, he starts with his brother Michael.
According to GH recaps, The FBI busted in and arrested Sonny Corinthos on suspicions of his involvement with Pikeman. Meanwhile, he sits in the interrogation room waiting for his trusted attorney, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy).
General Hospital previews and spoilers indicate that Dante questions Michael about their father. Despite the fact that Dante is a detective, and therefore he and Sonny are on opposite sides of the law, he in no way wants to see his father go down in flames. The latest GH spoilers tease that tension between Dante and Michael thickens, and things get heated. Will Michael be able to convince his brother?
Is this the end for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard)?
Diane questions Sonny’s reign! …Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) has represented Sonny since 2007. Her confidence as a lawyer has the skills, knowledge, and experience to back it up. That’s why Sonny hired her all those years ago. In that regard, Diane has never doubted that she can win one of Sonny’s cases… until now.
Diane questions Sonny’s reign as Port Charles
General Hospital spoilers tease that the water Sonny’s in is not just hot, it’s boiling. Never in his entire career in organized crime has he been this tightly cornered. But GH rumors tease that there’s much more than meets the eye.
Sonny and Diane GH
According to GH previews and spoilers, Diane and Sonny discuss his situation. And for the first time, the all star attorney, Diane Miller, questioned her ability to get Sonny off the hook. Sadly, Diane questions whether or not this time is the time that dies him in.
Is it me or does Sonny look a little too chill and confident for just having been arrested? Now everyone wants to know, who turned in Sonny to the FBI?!
There’s not a doubt in my mind that someone, somewhere, is happy that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) was finally arrested. Aside from the obvious enemies, is there someone else that wants to see Sonny put away for good?
According to the latest General Hospital previews, Sonny’s arrest requires Diane Miller’s (Carolyn Hennesy) presence. Meanwhile, he seasoned mobster sits there, poker face, utilizing his rights. As he sits at the station and is questioned by the Feds, the rest of his family does some questioning of their own.
Who Turned In Sonny To The FBI?
You can see it all over her face. Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) knows exactly what she did and she’s petrified. She gave into impulse and decided to throw Carly under the bus for revenge. But instead, what she did was cause more problems. Now, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is in Pentonville because she tattled. Although Nina tipped off the SEC, that doesn’t mean that no one else has the same idea. So, is Nina really the reason Sonny’s been arrested? GH spoilers reveal that Carly especially wants to get to the bottom of this. Someone told his white collar crimes to the FBI, and Carly wants to know exactly who that is. Do not miss a moment of General Hospital this week on ABC!
Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) needs to pick a lane! Is he or isn’t he a new man? Renault is ever so grateful to Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) after he saved his life. Because if it wasn’t for Drew’s quick thinking and advocacy, Cyrus might have died. So, if he’s so grateful to Drew, why is Cyrus about to get under his skin? Things become clear when Cyrus reacts to Sonny’s arrest.
Ever since Drew arrived in Pentonville, Cyrus has tried to get him to join his fellowship group. He preaches the good word and swears he’s now a righteous man. However, something’s obviously off about his belief system, and it shows. At any given moment Cyrus can go from a bully-blasting defender or a grateful victim, to an instigator, the perpetrator, and well, the problem. Despite his proclamation, Cyrus still shows signs of his unhinged, deceitful and deadly behavior as before.
How long can Cyrus keep up this act? That is of course if it is an act. According to recent General Hospital spoilers, Cyrus reacts to Sonny’s arrest. He gets under Drew’s skin, the very same Drew that Cyrus said he owed his life to. As the drama intensifies in Port Charles, secret plots unravel, exposing everything and all connections. Apparently, Sonny’s arrest kickstarts the process as it’s now down to the wire.
Moreover, GH rumors claim that we get closer to learning the truth about Cyrus, Sonny, Pikeman, and more. GH spoilers for 9/5/23 indicate that Drew sees through Cyrus’s contrarian motives as he discredits Sonny’s protective services. But who knows, maybe Cyrus has it all wrong?
Ok, so… who got Sonny arrested?! After all these years of dodging The Feds, Sonny got himself arrested?! …The Feds have wanted to nail Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) ever since he brought his sleezy strip club to Port Charles. Back then, Sonny wasn’t someone too many empathized with. Instead, all people saw was a strip club owner and a drug dealer.
General Hospital Recaps: At that time no one knew about his troubled childhood with his stepfather Zeke. Additionally, other factors shaped him into the man he was when he arrived in PC in the 90s. Not until years later when Sonny’s story was unfolding did GH fans develop this immense sense of cognitive dissonance over who Sonny Corinthos is as a man. Today, Sonny is loved by many, but also feared and disliked.
It’s All A Part Of The Plan
Who got Sonny arrested? We all know that the infamous mobster lives life as an outlaw. But despite his utter disregard for the rules, he is still viewed as a good-hearted family man by those who truly know him. I don’t know about you all but I for one want to Sonny to win. When all is said and done, the fact is that Sonny just got arrested by The Feds. Meanwhile, everyone is scrambling, trying to help him and figure out who turned him in. Some GH sunrise claim Michael, some say, Joss. However, it’s likely the culprit isn’t any of Sonny’s kids, or even his enemy.
According to General Hospital spoilers and rumors, Sonny got himself arrested. He set a trap for Betty (Ella Lentini) and placed a drive with fake Pikeman deal information. Odds are the Feds were handed the planted evidence in which Sonny so conveniently provided for the shady nanny. I mean, wasn’t that the whole point? If you ask me, this looks like a decoy setup by Sonny himself. Trust the process, he knows what he’s doing. ????
His “don’t F with me” state of mind fends off
