Maurice Benard is a three-time Daytime winner for his role as Sonny Corinthos on ABC’s General Hospital. Benard joined the Soap Opera in August of 1993. Since then Port Charles has never been the same. Organized crime has become an ongoing problem on the local and even Federal level.

The Port Charles Police Department has their work cut out for them when it comes to PC’s most prominent mob boss. When he first arrive in 1993, Sonny was law enforcement’s number one priority. Today, the fact remains that Sonny gives the authorities a run for the money. He’s been arrested and detained, and even put on trial. But the PCPD and the Feds have yet to stick the landing.

Rena and Wally, aka Lois Cerullo and Ned Ashton, met on the set of ABC’s General Hospital, fell in love and got married. She explained to Maurice how she and Wally fell in love on tv, and when she left the soap opera, they then both realized they weren’t in love, but their characters were in love. “Those characters, we lived and breathed them so much, but when I left we really learned that [pause] we, I really like Wally a lot, he’s an incredible guy. He’s just not the guy for me.”

Rena also divulged on how she got started into the business, her upbringing in New York, her bus trips alone at 15, moving to LA, marriage, children, and more.

Michael wants his sisters nowhere near Dex, but these ladies have kinds of their own and will likely continue to pursue their interest. Michael’s temper hasn’t been well kept in check lately, and the likelihood of him going off the rails when he finds out Dex has been assigned to watch over both Kristina and Joss, his anger could cloud his judgment, causing him to trip up.

Dex can’t help it if Sonny assigns him to protect his boss’s sisters, and they just so happen to find him irresistible ????

General Hospital News And Spoilers: ABC Preempts General Hospital, MLB Takes Daytime Slot

ABC’s scheduled programming of General Hospital airs weekdays, Monday through Friday at 2PM Eastern/Standard time.

General Hospital is at the mercy of the network, and from time to time our regularly scheduled soap opera is either interrupted or presented due to some other airing needs.

General Hospital news reports confirm that GH’s Friday, October 7th episode will be preempted due to coverage of the Major League Baseball Wildcard Game.
