Maurice Benard is a three-time Daytime winner for his role as Sonny Corinthos on ABC’s General Hospital. Benard joined the Soap Opera in August of 1993. Since then Port Charles has never been the same. Organized crime has become an ongoing problem on the local and even Federal level.

The Port Charles Police Department has their work cut out for them when it comes to PC’s most prominent mob boss. When he first arrive in 1993, Sonny was law enforcement’s number one priority. Today, the fact remains that Sonny gives the authorities a run for the money. He’s been arrested and detained, and even put on trial. But the PCPD and the Feds have yet to stick the landing.

General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Has A Reason To Continue Justifying Her Deceit

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) has taken her situation with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) while deceiving his entire family, to a level that no sane person could justify.

Nina’s reasoning for keeping Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) in the dark about her husband’s existence comes from a very vengeful place inside of Nina. She was so out off by the way Carly spoke to her on t he phone, that it was like a switch had flipped and Nina just decided to keep Sonny a secret to get back at Carly.

Carly dropped a major bombshell on her family and friends after Josslyn’s (Eden McCoy grad party. After revealing she and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) are getting married, everyone seemed to accept the news except for Jax (Ingo Rademacher).

General Hospital spoilers reveal Jax takes it upon himself to go against Carly’s wishes and spills the tea. He happens to divulge Carly’s secret to none other than Nina Reeves.

General Hospital previews show Nina’s surprised look on her face when Jax tells her Carly and Jason are getting married. At the same time, the wheels in her head are turning. General Hospital News: Genie Francis Defends Friend After Maurice Benard Clears The Air On Misconstrued Emmy Speech

Last Friday, June 25th, 2021, The 48th annual Daytime Emmy Awards took place at 8PM, on CBS.

General Hospital news reports happily announced GH took home some major category wins, including, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Maurice Benard made his fans, family, cast and crew proud when he claimed the award. Just like most winners, Benard accepted the award with an acceptance speech. However, some fans have taken his words and turned them into something they are not.
