The past is the past but sometimes history repeats itself. Although Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) have never bonded quite like this, they’ve been down a similar road.
For the most part Sonny and Ava have been civil co-parents at best. General recaps recall that Sonny and Ava’s life long connection began after one night of bizarre passion. Sonny’s son Morgan had died and Ava had a hand in his tragic death. She switched Morgan’s (Bryan Craig) medication which led to the events that took his life. So why on Earth Sonny would sleep with her can be chalked up to soap opera logic. On top of it all (or bottom, whichever they prefer 😜), Ava and Sonny conceived their daughter Avery that night. Now, they’re family for life.
General Hospital spoilers tease that the two mobsters have become closer over the last few months as Sonny Corinthos deals with a threat. Since Ava is the mother of one of his children, she was first sought out by the enemy. They wanted information on Sonny, but when their daughter’s safety was threatened, Ava knew that she had to tell Sonny what’s going on.
