After decades back in Bensonhurst Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) returned to Port Charles this holiday season. She finally gets to catch up with her oldest friends, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero). These three grew up together in Bensonhurst and now that Lois is back the fun begins again.

General Hospital recaps recall that Lois and Olivia clash over Sonny. It’s Olivia who believes that they should keep quiet about Ned (Wally Kurth) and Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) secret. She’s abiding by Ned’s wishes as it’s his secret to tell. After all, he’s the one blamed because Nina has no problem letting an innocent man take her fall. Lois put the pieces together and figured out that it’s Nina! Sonny is one of Lois’s oldest and best friends, so there’s no way she’s going to let this slide. Right now, Ned finds that it’s best he keep quiet about who really turned Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Carly into the SEC. That poses a problem when Lois decides that Sonny deserves the truth.

General Hospital spoilers tease that Lois totally disagrees with Olivia’s reasons to keep Sonny in the dark. There’s no way she’s going to let anyone, not even Sonny’s new wife, lie to his face every single day. According to GH rumors, Lois gets Sonny alone(ish) to drop the bombshell on his evening. Nina hasn’t arrived yet and Carly went home. Meanwhile, Ned had whisked Olivia away to go see the fireworks. That leaves Lois and Sonny to chat. However, it’s getting close to midnight and Lois’s superstition claims that whoever kisses at midnight is who they’ll kiss all year. Seemingly everyone is out of place or with a lover who isn’t their own. What do the stars have in store for those who kiss at midnight?

General Hospital Spoilers: I Think I’ve Seen This Film Before- Nina Takes Olivia’s Man, Goes After The Other Half Of The Metro Court

Nina takes Sonny and Ned?! …Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is on a roll. She’s been on a lucky streak lately, while taking Ws at every turn. In the wake of Nina’s recent victories, those around her have taken one L after another.

If you’re a little lost on this ongoing saga, General Hospital recaps recall just how Nina and Sonny got started. It’s been over two years since Nina found Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) in Nixon Falls. That was when she decided to keep a brain-injured man who she knows has a wife and family, who was also presumed dead, all to herself. Who even does that?! Moreover, if that wasn’t bad enough, she stole more than Carly’s man. Before becoming Sonny’s fiancé, Nina took Carly Corinthos’s (Laura Wright) half of the Metro Court.

According to recent GH spoilers and rumors, history resembles itself now that Ned Ashton (Wally Kurth) thinks he’s someone new. Similarly, Nina is manipulating Eddie Maine as she did Mike back in Nixon Falls. Manipulation is her claim to fame and the tactic used to take advantage of the victim. By using their own words and twisting them for her own benefit, Nina’s manipulative behavior keeps yet another father away from his wife and family. We don’t know about y’all, but this gives major Corinthos family vibes. The damage Nina caused Sonny and his family is irrefutable. And by the looks of things and GH rumors, the Quartermaine’s are next to fall victim to Nina.

GH rumors hint that Nina takes Sonny and Ned! What’s done is done with Sonny. Sadly, Nina got him to fall in love with her. But that is soon to be over. Meanwhile, Nina is all up in her business pattern’s personal life. Once again, Nina benefits by preying on victims. And it just so happens that they are none other than two bestie’s husbands. If history repeats itself, then Nina is going for Olivia’s half of the Metro Court next.

Sonny Corinthos Suicide

“We all flirt with the tiniest notion, of self conclusion in one simplified notion, the trick is that you’re never supposed to act on it.” A line from a really great band, The Spill Canvas, in their song titled, Self Conclusion. Today, Sonny flirted with the thoughts of suicide. Sonny was fortunate enough to have Olivia and his sons there to plead with him, and try to talk him out of this state of mind. Sonny is bipolar, therefore he has extreme highs as well as lows. And when faced with the loss of someone he loves, he feels as if he has no where to turn, and that the world would be a better place if he left to be with Connie. Olivia told him who and how much he would be leaving behind, and that if he went through with this, he would be causing harm and pain to the ones he loves, who love him.

Maurice has really been bringing on the drama and intensity with this story. He has brought Sonny to the darkest place he as ever been. Connie has taken him to a place not even Brenda could take him. Losing Connie has mad Sonny lose himself. Maurice is showing the fans a portrayal of Sonny on a whole new level. We have seen Sonny’s dark days, his manic, days, his great days, and now we have seen this, rock bottom.

Every single person in that scene gave it their all today. Brian Craig (Morgan), Chad Duell (Michael), Dominic Zamprogna (Dante), Lisa LoCicero (Olivia), and Maurice Benard himself (Sonny). The dynamic was so powerful and the chemistry the actors portrayed as a family really shown through.

Connie has been noticeably jealous when it comes to Sonny and Olivia’s relationship and connection. They have a long history and are connected by their son, Dante. Lately Olivia has been day dreaming about times with Sonny and small gestures that make her feel close to him. Today on General Hospital, Connie and Olivia disclose their feelings regarding Sonny. Will this end up being an ugly love triangle between the old Bensonhurst crew? Or will either women surrender and let the other have him?
