Since his memorable role as Todd Manning on ABC’s One Life To Live, Roger Howarth has been an icon and fan-favorite. Despite OLTL’s 2012 cancellation, Roger’s popularity grew. That’s because he landed himself a role on ABC’s longstanding General Hospital. Fast forward to today and we all know the rest.

General Hospital news and spoilers report that Roger Howarth’s GH exit caused quite a stir. So much backlash for TPTB flood social media platforms. No one wanted to see Roger go, and now the GH Executives are receiving backlash for their decision not to renew Roger’s contract.

According to GH news, GH fans petition Roger Howarth’s return. It’s true that there is a change.org petition to get Roger back on General Hospital. Evidently, fans are just as dismayed by losing Austin Holt as they were when Franco Baldwin was suddenly killed. It’s obvious the that common denominator is Roger Howarth. He’s a beloved actor in the Daytime Television community and GH fans aren’t ready or willing to let him go.

Kristen Alderson made a name for herself in one of the most memorable daytime T star roles. At just six years old, Alderson landed the role. From then she was known as Star Manning, daughter of the iconic couple, Todd Manning (Roger Howarth and Blair Cramer (Kassie DePaiva).

Sadly, One Life To Live ended in 2012. But according to GH news, Alderson joined the cast of General Hosoital. First, she continued her Llanview role and brought Star Manning to Port Charles. Then, due to legalities ABC was no longer permitted to use the. Jaya get names from OLTL and AMC. Thankfully, that’s not the case today.

GH news reports confirm that Alderson’s boyfriend Taylor Crousore popped the question, and they became engaged on July 15th, 2023. Kristen and Taylor’s baby girl is expected in January of 2024!

Alderson joined General Hospital as a crossover from OLTL. However, Starr Manning didn’t stay in Port Charles for long due to legal issues with the network. That’s when the writers brought on Kiki Jerome. Ultimately, Alderson left GH and Kiki behind in 2020.

…Port Charles is becoming quite the melting pot. People (characters) from all over fictional soap opera cities seem to make their way to GH’s place to be. Unlike Nixon Falls and Beecher’s Corners, Llanview and Pine Valley are two cities from ABC’s two cancelled dramas, AMC and OLTL.

Previously, GH Blog shared the latest on who is in and who is out. According to recent General Hospital spoilers, Jackson Montgomery (Walt Willey) hasn’t seen the last of Port Charles. Apparently, Jackson and Martin Gray have a past, and Martin doesn’t seem too fond of the Pine Valley Attorne. He has unfinished business in the city, mostly likely involving Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) and Deception.

Since Walt Willey joined General Hospital as the unforgettable Attorney Jackson Montgomery, GH casting news confirmed another addition to the cast. While Pine Valley is Jack’s hometown, the next daytime star to join GH is from Llanview. It’s confirmed that DePaiva will be reprising her from ABC’s cancelled One Life To Live. Reportedly, Kassie DePaiva takes Blair Cramer to Port Charles.

According to GH rumors, it’s possible that DePaiva brings Blair to Port Charles as Martin Gray’s ex-wife. However, that’s not the only recent rumor regarding the new/familiar faces coming from other places. That being said, Walt’s GH stint stirred up old AMC vibes. But, it’s impossible to think of Walt Willey and Jackson Montgomery and not think of the iconic Susan Lucci as Erica Kane. Many believe that Erica Kane follows Jack to Port Charles! Port Charles feels like a revolving door as of late. Kassie DePaiva returns to GH! Familiar faces are all around if you’re familiar with Llanview and Pine Valley. All My Children and One Life To Live made up 2/3 of three iconic pieces of American history. Although AMC and OLTL may have ended their run over a decade ago, the shows live on as characters resurface in Port Charles.

Over the years, AMC and OLTL’s characters and their portrayers became like household names to so many Americans. So when the two daytime dramas ended their run in 2011 and 2012, a great loss was felt all over the country and beyond. Meanwhile, other shows in various genres tried and failed to successfully fill those time slots. Sadly, nothing every stuck and we soap fans are still missing our favorites. Thankfully, Port Charles seems like it has an unlimited population limit. ????

While her purpose in PC has yet to be determined, GH rumors hint toward the lady from Llanview and the man from Pine Valley stick around the same crowd. General Hospital News And Spoilers: Mark Lawson Aka Dustin Phillips (GH) and Brody, (OLTL) Recovering From Recent Surgery

Mark Lawson no doubt is a real life tough guy. He’s always hitting the gym and his physique tells the story.

Besides being known for playing Dustin Phillips on ABC’s General Hospital and his role as Brody on One Life To Live, Lawson is known for his dedication to health with his intense workouts. Lawson displays his physical health journey via Instagram where he also revealed that he was headed into surgery.

General Hospital news and spoilers confirm that Lawson recently underwent surgery for a hernia repair. He shared his thoughts on going under the knife in a couple witty Instagram posts. Lawson has since shared an update, informing fans that he made it out of surgery and is recovering, while thanking everyone for the love.

General Hospital Spoilers: Josh Kelly Reveals How He Landed His GH Role

Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) is the newest mystery man to land in Port Charles. He made quite a splash at the Metro Court pool and left an unforgettable impression on one intelligent woman in particular.

General Hospital news reports confirm that OLTL alum Josh Kelly sat down with Soap Opera Digest about his new role as Cody Bell on ABC’s General Hospital.

Kelly told the news outlet that he was “missed working regularly,” after working on other projects. Pre-Covid, Kelly reveals he shot a pilot but was put on hold due to the worldly circumstances. Josh explained, “I’ve had a lot of fun doing other projects, but these last two years, I shot a pilot and then it was on hold throughout COVID. Also, I’ve had to go [on location] to Memphis or Albuquerque or Atlanta and I love traveling, but my home is in Los Angeles and I’ve never gotten to work here. I also missed being part of a little acting troupe family.”

General Hospital spoilers reveal Josh then reached out to Frank Valentini, his former boss at One Life To Live, expressing interest in working at GH. His contact with GH’s Executive Producer was well accepted. Josh Kelly described his conversation with Valentini. He said, “He was like, ‘Are you serious? You’d have to do a contract,’” Kelly recalled. “They were like, ‘We’re gonna come up with a cool character for you’ — and they did!”

General Hospital spoilers indicate there is a colorful future for Kelly’s role as Cody Bell. He admits he is excited to be on contract with the iconic daytime drama. He reflected on his time at OLTL, and explained that he is happy to fulfill a contact since his previous contract with the ABC’s cancelled soap was cut short.

We are eager to see where things lead as Cody settles in to Port Charles, forming new bonds and maintaining his old friendships.

According to recent GH spoilers and rumors, Josh Kelly’s role in Port Charles will directly effect the lives of three w prominent residents of PC. Sam Morgan (Kelly Monaco), Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) have been rumored to be the ones effected the lost by Josh Kelly’s character.

Discussion over the possibilities surrounding Kelly’s character identity has gotten fans wondering just who he will turn out to be in Port Charles.

Kelly’s list of credits include, roles in Transformers, Army Wives, Station 19? Grey’s Anatomy, and the role of Walker Chisum in Midnight Texas.

General Hospital fans speculate the role could be related to or working closely with Dante, and even rumors of having ties to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) has raised a few ideas.

General Hospital News And Spoilers: The Soap Opera Community Mourns The Death Of OLTL’s Jerry Verdorn (Clint Buchanan)

The soap opera community is known for its close knit relationships between the actors among the various daytime drama shows and networks.

General Hospital news reports reveal a fellow soap vet has passed away. Actor Jerry Verdorn began his daytime drama career on Guiding Light as Ross Marler in 1979. He remained in his role on GL until 2005. From 2005-2012;2013 Verdorn joined the cast of ABC’s One Life to Live as Clint Buchanan.

General Hospital news reports confirm Jerry left behind his wife, Beth. The two were married for almost 45 years and have two sons, Peter and Jake, their wives, Lauren and Erin, along with three grandchildren, Benjamin, Nora, and Penelope.

Jerry past away on May 1st after battling cancer for several months. He was 72 years old. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, loved ones, and the Soap Opera community.

General Hospital News: Austin To The Rescue! Welcome Back, Roger Howarth

The role of Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth), played by OLTL and GH’s, Roger Howarth, came to an abrupt and unexpected end when he was killed by Poet Charles super villain, Peter August (Wes Ramsey).

General Hospital news reports confirmed that although the character, Franco Baldwin, was indeed killed with no chance of resurrection, or was also confirmed that Baldwin’s portrayer, Roger Howarth, was exiting General Hospital only temporarily.

General Hospital rumors speculated the return of Howarth to possibly resurface the OLTL and GH character persona, Todd Manning. Those GH rumors were later squashed, revealing that TPTB did not want to bring Manning back on the canvas since his character was involved in the rape storyline surrounding Marty Saybrooke (Susan Haskell). Howarth also stepped into the role of Franco Baldwin after actor James Franco played the part which also involved a dark side, and alleged rape.

General Hospital spoilers finally reveal the identity of Howarth new role on GH, as his return debut aired on May 27th. Roger is now playing the role of a doctor named, Austin. So far he has delivered Maxie Jones’s (Kirsten Storms), baby in the woods. Austin seems much different than Franco. We don’t know much about him yet, but from the first impression he gave, there seems to be a lot more light, as opposed to the dark past Franco had.

Soap Opera News: Breaking! “All My Children” Prime Time Revival

For decades, ABC Network was the home for three major Soap Operas that became household names in America. Now, ABC is down to one daytime drama, General Hospital. On September 2nd, 2013, ABC’s All My Children came to an end after One Life To Live left the air on January 13th, 2012.

Major news has just been announced regarding the revival of the iconic Daytime Drama, All My Children. Soap opera news reports a new development in the works that will have General Hospital, All My Children, and One Life To Live fans rejoicing. The soap opera genre has been surviving off of one lasting show, as GH is in its 57th on air.

All My Children’s Kelly Ripa and husband, Mark Consuelos are developing a prime time version of the drama and will be titled after the infamous town, “Pine Valley.” Celebrity news reports this show is in the early stages of development.

After winning back the rights to the characters names from Prospect Studios, ABC now owns the rights to both AMC as well as OLTL. Rumors of their revival have bounced around throughout the last 7 years, and some projects were developed for web series audience, however, nothing really took off.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos head up production for this new prime time project, but there is no word on whether or not they will appear as actors in the new series. In the 1990s, Ripa and Consuelos had large roles on AMC as Hayley Vaughan and Mateo Santos.

This is extremely exciting news for AMC and soap opera fans in general. When AMC and OLTL came to an end, many fans had a difficult time adjusting to life without this staple as part of their day. Now we have the chance to experience all the drama and excitement again!
