Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) gave his father, Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) an ultimatum- to get rid of Ava Jerome (Maura West) as his wife, or else he would lose his son forever.
Nikolas never wanted Ava as his wife any more than Spencer wanted her as his step mother. General Hospital spoilers reveal things will start to turn around for Nikolas and Ava’s marriage. GH rumors suggest they will grow closer, eventually changing their business deal of a marriage, to a marriage of love and mutual respect.
Spencer is aware of the prenuptial agreement involving the Cassadine fortune. General Hospital spoilers and rumors hint Nikolas and Ava are being set up to break their marital contract, so much so that someone wants proof.
GH rumors claim Spencer Cassadine is behind the setup, and has hired someone to follow Nikolas and Ava as they go about town with Elizabeth Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). Spencer has someone on their trail, watching their every move, in hope that Ava will cheat on his dad, activating their marital agreement. That way, Ava will be fine and Nicolas and Spencer would get to keep the Cassadine estate.
Someone is clearly following Nikolas when he’s with Elizabeth and Ava when she’s with Franco. Although the goal is for Nik and Ava to cheat, their marriage might be about to do a 180°.

Nik was hoping that Franco would be so jealous and fed up that he would confide in Ava, bringing them a step closer to intimacy.

Now that Liz overheard Ava spilling the tea to Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) regarding her marriage clause with Nik. She realizes that Nik is playing her and Franco so they both get mad enough to drive a wedge between them, hoping Franco will turn to Ava. Nik is banking on Ava’s vulnerability when it comes to feeling lonely and unloved. Ava and Franco have grown close over the past several months.

Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) has made quite a reputation for himself throughout the years as a sociopath who tormented and tortured almost the entire city of Port Charles. Since then, a brain tumor was discovered and ultimately named the cause of his sociopathic and criminal behavior. After his surgery, Franco became a new man.
Lately, Liz has been worries that his time spent with Ava Jerome (Maura West) is influencing or possibly jarring loose some past behaviors and tendencies. Elizabeth doesn’t like that Franco is embracing his work from his past and fears that his past will rear it’s ugly head. Elizabeth confided in her life long friend and former lover, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) as she helps him recover from his motorcycle accident.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Jason is considering the possibility that Franco may be having a relapse and returning to his mental state prior to his surgery. It’s possible Franco’s tumor has returned and as it grows he may show more and more signs of the old Franco.
GH rumors suggest Jason will not take this lightly and will want to look out for Elizabeth, her boys, including his own son Jake, along with Sam (Kelly Monaco), Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright), and everyone else Franco has hurt in the past.
Elizabeth and Franco have built a life together but that may be short lived if Franco heads back down a dark, criminal path.

Ava has been waiting in anticipation for the day she can unveil Franco’s painting of herself. The time came and went and just like any typical event held at Wyndemere, there was a shocking twist and we are left with a mystery.
General Hospital spoilers have revealed Nikolas and his son Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) are working together to get rid of Ava. Lulu Spencer already leaked their secret to Dustin Phillips (Mark Lawson) while Ava stood by and took it all in. She confronted Nikolas about his and Spencer’s plan and let him know she is onto him and to get ready for her to fight back. But she still needs to know who vandalized her portrait. At the unveiling, Ava’s portrait was painted over in an old Francophrenia type style even though Franco is not the one who vandalized his own art work.
General Hospital rumors suggest there are two main suspects associated with vandalizing the portrait. Nikolas and Spencer. Nikolas can’t stand the hold Ava has over him with their marriage deal. He wants his inheritance and more importantly, he wants it along with his relationship with his son. Since the two Cassadine boys have teamed up, GH rumors indicate Spencer is the one behind the vandalized portrait. Their plan is about to backfire now that Ava has overheard their plan. She isn’t one to just let things slide and now she is ready to fight back- she’s ready for revenge.
Ava Jerme (Maura West) has announced the unveiling of the portrait of herself, painted by Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). When the cover was pulled off the front of the final product, everyone looked around in for a shock. Ava looked mortified and confused, and the rest of the crown couldn’t believe their eyes. Franco himself looks very surprised at what he saw when the portrait was unveiled. But what is it and who did it? Could Franco himself have put his own twist on Ava’s painting to add an element of surprise? Perhaps Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) found a way to get at the painting and deface Franco’s work? Or could Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) have something to do with it? These are all burning questions to which we all want answers.

It’s quite typical for evens held on Spoon Island at Wyndemere to end in disaster. What would make Ava think this time would be different?
Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) are united in marriage, not for love, but for money. Although their union doesn’t just include the two of them. Nikolas’s son Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) is the third party in this sham of a marriage and he isn’t standing for it. Spencer has told his father that if he didn’t get rid of Ava, then he didn’t want anything to do with him. Nikolas loves his son immensely but that doesn’t mean he is going to let him call the shots. Lucky for Spencer, fate may take over and turn things around.
Nikolas and Ava both have a plan underway to try and get the other to cheer in order to break their prenuptial agreement. If one cheats, that person loses the Cassadine fortune. Nikolas is banking on Ava to cheat on him with Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) as they were pushed closer together during the intimate setting where Ava was being painted by Franco. And Ava has been trying to get Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Nikolas to rekindle their old fiery affair. Nik and Liz Have a long history of friendship and love. When they found each other in love after many years of close friendship, the timing was all wrong while Liz was already committed to Nik’s brother, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson).

Nikolas is aware that Spencer doesn’t approve of his marriage to Ava and that weighs on him heavily. The bond with Elizabeth is already there even though she is upset with him for keeping Spencer and other loved ones in the dark regarding his whereabouts when presumed dead. Nikolas plans to push Ava into Franco’s arms so that she breaks their agreement and he walks away with his money and his son. General Hospital rumors hint that his plan will backfire but in a way that benefits his family. Falling for Elizabeth again would solve Nik’s problem with Spencer wanting Ava out of the picture. But can Nikolas fall for Liz and choose love and family over the Cassadine fortune?
There may be a way for Nikolas to have his cake and eat it too. Especially if he has Spencer in his corner. Spencer is known for working the system and finding opportunities to get his way. If a happy family is what Spencer wants, a happy family is what Spencer will get. General Hospital rumors claim Ava and Nikolas are well on their way to ending their marital agreement by circumstances that were put into motion by each party. And with the help of Spencer, everything just might work out for the best.
Where does this leave Franco? Franco and Elizabeth genuinely care for one another but they also have a rocky relationship. Franco’s intentions are good but many times he somehow manages to mess things up. Franco and Ava have been friends for a while though seeing them as a romantic couple doesn’t really seem to fit. Could these two become the next unexpected romance? If Liz leaves Franco for Nikolas, Franco may turn to Ava for a shoulder to lean on.
