GH’s Ryan Paevey (Detective Nathan West), had some real life hospital drama over the weekend. Many actors and fans alike use social media to convey messages out to the masses. Ryan Paevey announced via Instagram, that he was involved in a motorcycle accident, which shattered his right wrist. He is otherwise doing well, and will make a full recovery. It has yet to be determined whether or not his injury will be written into the script, or if it will be able to be covered up and ignored.

Romantic drama has always been a huge part of daytime soaps. It isn’t juicy unless there is some sort of love triangle going on, and juicy, romantic drama is what we are going to get where Nathan, Maxie, Spinelli, and Ellie are involved.
Ellie Trout is back in Port Charles, just in time to mix things up with the love triangle going on between Spinelli, Maxie, and Nathan. Ellie and Spinelli just recently broke up because Ellie felt that Damian was still in love with his first love and mother of his child, Maxie. Maxie was involved in a fairly new relationship with Detective Nathan West when Spinelli came back to Port Charles to profess his love for Maxie. He wants to be a family with Maxie and their daughter Georgie. After some resistance, and after her boyfriend Nathan told her she should take some time to make a decision, Maxie chose Spinelli.
Literally the moment Maxie and Spinelli declared being together again, Nathan knocked on her door, asking to get back together. Not long after that, Ellie shows up in Port Charles. General Hospital spoilers indicate that Nathan and Ellie will get together. Nathan will escort Ellie to the Nurses Ball this year. General Hospital rumors have been circling, claiming that Nathan and Ellie’s involvement together will make both Maxie and Spinelli jealous. This love triangle just added a fourth element, a square perhaps? Now that Ellie has put herself into an already complicated situation, Maxie and SPinelli may rethink their recent decision to be together.
What do you think about Nathan and Ellie becoming a romantic couple? Is it time to call them “Nellie” yet? The subject of Nathan’s paternity has been put on the back burner for a long time. Back when Nathan come to Port Charles, everyone including Nathan, was under the impression that his mother was Madeline Reeves.
It turns out that she is actually his aunt, sister of Dr. Liesl Obrecht, Making Dr. O Nathan’s mother. The question of Nathan’s paternity came up along with all these new discoveries, including Nina now his cousin, not his sister. Dr. Obrecht told Nathan that Victor Cassadine is his father, but we all know that’s not the truth. Dr. O even mentioned that his real father, who has not yet been named, is far worse a man than Victor. Who could be so bad that even Dr. Obrecht doesn’t want to admit she fathered his child? GH rumors have speculated everyone from Cesar Faison to Jerry Jacks. We aren’t exactly sure but General Hospital spoilers indicate that Nina has some information regarding Nathan’s biological dad. If Nina does know the truth, it’s highly likely she will use it to her advantage, to hang over Dr. O’s head.

General Hospital spoilers have revealed that actress Emily Wilson (Ellie Trout) has made an announcement to Soap Opera Digest that she was asked to reprise her role as the quirky, nerdy, lab genius, and girlfriend of Damian Spinelli.
As we know, Ellie and Spinelli moved to Portland Oregon for to pursue Ellie’s career. Spinelli was granted custody of his daughter, baby Georgie, and she lived with the intelligent pair. Since then, the two broke up and Spinelli has moved back to Port Charles with his daughter, and he, Georgie, and Maxie are currently back together as a family.
Ellie will make her way to Port Charles tomorrow, April 14th. Emily Wilson tells Soap Opera Digest, “I’m so excited! Ellie has such a special place in my heart and I was so happy that they’ve asked me to come back. I’ve kept in touch with Bradford (Anderson, Spinelli), and Kirsten (Storms, Maxie), Teresa (Castillo, Sabrina), and Marc (Anthony Samuel, Felix), but everyone there feels like family to me at this point. It was such a great feeling to walk back into the building!”

Since then Maxie has gone through hoops to get her life back on track. After losing custody of her daughter to Spinelli, Maxie went on an eat, pray, love journey to find herself. Before heading out the door of her apartment, Detective Nathan West stood at the other side of her door. From the moment the two met, they felt an instant connection, and when Maxie came back from her trip, Nathan was right there waiting, but not without complications. Levi Dunkleman, the custody of Georgie, and many other factors came into play when it came to keeping Maxie and Nathan apart. Fans who have been supporting Nathan (Ryan Paevey) and Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) relationship from the very beginning might be biting their lips right now, nervous that the new romance won’t even stand a chance now that Spinelli is back. Some fans who have been on the Naxie bandwagon since Nathan arrived supported the couple because it was second best to Spixie. Others just remained hung up on Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) and Maxie’s love story and didn’t want to accept that Maxie would move on with anyone.
When Spinelli and Ellie (Emily Wilson) still lived in Port Charles, Maxie was the one professing her love to Spinelli. She told him after all they had been through that she had wanted him back, and he rejected her love and chose Ellie. The two moved to Portland Oregon so that Ellie could pursue her career at the local hospital lab. Maxie was left alone in her thoughts of being rejected, and alter finding out that she lost custody of her own daughter to Spinelli.
Now that Maxie has finally put her life back together with the help and support of those who love her, including Nathan West, she had the courage to move on romantically. Nathan and Maxie have a large adoring fan base, but is it as strong as the 8 year romance that had developed between Maxie “Maximista” and Damian Spinelli. Today they have an even stronger bond, their daughter Georgie (Harper Rose Barash).
Spinelli is back in Port Charles and since Christmas, he has had a lot to think about. While still with Ellie, she pointed out to Spinelli that he and Maxie look like they belong together, as a family, with their daughter. Spinelli has now confessed his feelings for his Maximista, and since Nathan and Maxie aren’t seeing eye to eye over Johnny Zacchara (Brandon Barash), will this be the gateway for a Spixie reunion? Maxie said it herself, no one knows her the way Spinelli knows her. and accepts her the way she is. Does Nathan have it in him to love Maxie as selflessly as Spinelli does?

It’s Valentine’s Day, but after Maxie’s confession to Nathan, they aren’t quite seeing eye to eye. Although coming clean so quickly about helping an old friend, Johnny Zacchara run from the law was out of character for Maxie, she and Nathan still find themselves at odds.
The fact that Maxie would risk the court finding out about her behavior and jeopardizing her visitation with Georgie was pretty irresponsible. Nathan also is irritated with the fact that she actually put him, as a Detective of the PCPD in a very poor position. Nathan now will lie for Maxie, claming that Johnny broke in and store her keys and cash.
The arrival of Maxie’s ex-(non)husband, and the father of her child might also put a damper on her relationship with Nathan. Spinelli confessed to Maxie that Ellie did not come along because they broke up. Apparently, she broke up with Spinelli over Maxie.
Now that Spinelli is back in town, Ellie is out of the picture, and Nathan and Maxie aren’t seeing eye to eye, will there be a Spixie reunion?
