General Hospital News: Kelly Monaco Announces New Project
Kelly Monaco Announces Podcast! Lately, my favorite General Hospital actress and character has been on my mind. Kelly Monaco landed on the General Hospital set in 2003, and the rest is history. Monaco brought the role of Samantha McCall to life, and what an incredible life she led.
Individually, Kelly Monaco’s contribution to the role of Sam had an enormous impact on the overall dynamic in Port Charles. She brought street smarts and savvy survival skills, and could run cons with the best of them. On her own, Sam was a stunning thrill seeker with a big heart. Additionally, not only did Monaco’s portrayal of Sam became one of General Hospital’s most beloved characters, put her romantic pairing became legendary. Steve Burton and Kelly Monaco gave Jason and Sam the most incredible romance with their screen, chemistry, intimacy and adventure. In fact, The pairing has been referred to as one of daytime television’s most favorite Super Couples.
Sadly, on October 1, 2024, General Hospital’ breaking news spread exoterically over the daytime drama’s fan base. It was then that Kelly Monaco’s General Hospital exit was announced and confirmed. Her last appearance as Sam aired on November 1, 2024. Soon after, Monaco’s online comments about her GH exit surfaced, revealing bad blood on the GH set.
According to General Hospital news, Kelly’s GH absence has brought forth a new project. Yesterday, she shared an Instagram video announcing her new podcast with friend and former playmate pal, Shanna Moakler. Bad Bunnies is described as, “Unfiltered. Untamed. Unapologetic.”
Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton)
Cyrus Targets Jason’s Family, Sam and Dex Were Murdered! Is Danny Next?! The streets of Port Charles are no place to be these days. Actually, nowhere in Port Charles seems like a place you’d wanna raise a family. Danger lurks at every corner, and no one is safe from the adverse effects of mob life. Apparently, whether or not you’re married to the mob, or you hold down an honest man’s job, the violence associated with the business knows no limitations.
The people of Port Charles are on high alert after a second mysterious death that took place at General Hospital. Two patients were admitted into the hospital for their own reasons and didn’t make it out alive. Unfortunately, sometimes we do lose loved ones right from the hospital. After all, it is where the ill and injured go, and there’s no guarantee of survival. But Sam and Dex’s deaths were not your average, everyday, natural deaths. It looks like we have a murder mystery on our hands.
According to General Hospital recaps, Sam McCall and Dex Heller died tragically in separate but similar freak, post-op mystery deaths. Although both arrived at risk, Sam and Dex were otherwise both healthy young people.
Dex Heller’s shocking death leaves GH fans asking why. It’s difficult not to reflect on the would’ve, should’ve, could’ves when it comes to Evan Hofer’s GH role. Certainly, General Hospital fans wanted a back story for the lover-boy, mob-traitor turned cop, Dex Heller.
Cyrus Targets Jason’s Family
Meanwhile, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) is out on there According to longstanding GH rumors, there was much more story to tell about the man who didn’t think twice to risk it all for an out of town job of white collar crime. General Hospital spoilers and rumors claim that Dex died, but his father is right here in Port Charles. Yes, the latest General Hospital rumors tease that Dex is Jason’s son regardless if he’s dead or alive.
General Hospital Rumors: The “reformed” brother of Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) continues to commit heinous crimes, but now he hides behind religion to carry out even murder. Apparently, Cyrus figured out that Dex is Jason‘s long lost son.
Psycho Cyrus believes that he’s morally superior to others and justifies his crimes by acting as a vigilante for no one who’s asked. For example, GH rumors hint that Cyrus killed Sam to send a message to Jason, and to clear the way for Lulu to be happy with Dante. Similarly, GH rumors tease that Cyrus killed Dex to send a message to Jason, and because Dex was too close to the scene of Cyrus’s most recent crime. He knew too much about Cyrus’s whereabouts around the time Sam died, so Cyrus took care of it.
General Hospital spoilers claim that Cyrus took it upon himself and did the unthinkable. Did he kill two of members of Jason’s family to send a message to the mob?
IS DANNY NEXT?!
Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn)
General Hospital fans are still in disbelieve over the abrupt firing of GH fan favorite, Kelly Monaco. Sam McCall graced Port Charles with her exemplary presence in 2003. The wildly popular actress put her heart and soul into over 2,200 episodes as the iconic Samantha McCall. She and her other half, Jason Morgan became one of most supported and loved daytime television couples of our time.
Together, Steve Burton and Kelly Monaco made magic on screen as Jason and Sam, or, JaSam. The Morgan’s were happy for a while but you know how soap opera relationships go- no one ever stays happy with their partner. But still; something about Sam and Jason’s chemistry kept fans holding on. And by fans, I absolutely mean myself included.
First, Sam was a force all on her own- with or without Jason, Sam could definitely kick some @$$. Kelly Monaco put her all into this character, and gave GH fans 110%. She was dedicated to her role, to the network and show, and to her General Hospital family.
It’s sad to know that some people don’t see Kelly and her work in the proper light. In fact, General Hospital news and spoilers reports reveal the latest on what one fan thinks about Kelly’s GH exit. But before you ask yourself who cares what one fan thinks, I’ll tell you probably no one. However, what true fans care to know is how Kelly Monaco has handled the situation.
I must say that in all the years that I’ve admired Kelly for her work ethic, her talent, her beauty and kindness, I’ve never admired her more than I do right now. Kelly’s words resonate with me and bear so much meaning to my world and everything that I’m currently going through.
I do have more power than a “job” it’s my voice, my experience, my truth. You can beat someone down, until they finally find the power within themselves to recover with grace and dignity. Those whom choose to bully behind their power, will suffer their own consequences.
As much as I still wish that Kelly Monaco returns to GH someday, it doesn’t look like that’s on the cards- at least not for a long while.
General Hospital spoilers reveal the tension between my personal favorite GH star and “the show” could be as bad as that between Ingo Rademacher and ABC. What do you think about how Kelly was treated and ultimately let go from her role as Samantha McCall?
GH Fans Roast Frank Valentini Over Kelly Monaco’s Firing
GH Fans Roast Frank Valentini Over Kelly Monaco! …General Hospital fans come in all shapes and sizes, races and religions, from all social and economical backgrounds. But one thing that General Hospital fans are not is passive. In fact, this fandom has been outwardly vocal since at least the age of the internet. If we’re being honest, GH fans have been sending their gripes to Prospect Studios since the days of solely snail mail.
General Hospital’s Kelly Monaco and Frank Valentini
Today, we have various platforms to express our grievances with TPTB. In my day, GH fans used the SoapNet message boards to get everything off their chest. Mind you, these were not vessels for direct communication with the cast and crew. However, with social media platforms like X, GH fans can express exactly how they feel, and the intended parties are almost guaranteed to see it.
GH Cast Members Open NYSE
Recently, General Hospital news reports reveal the dramatic impact that Kelly Monaco’s exit has had on GH fans. Evidently, Kelly Monaco’s exit has caused controversy at best. According to previous General Hospital news and spoilers, GH Blog shared a Monaco’s shocking confession.
Reportedly, GH fans blame Executive Producer, Frank Valentini for Kelly Monaco’s exit. The 25 year General Hospital Starlet was let go from the longest running drama series after dedicating 25 years to the role of Sam McCall. Now, angry GH fans want to ensure that TPTB know that they’ve made a catastrophic mistake.
The citizens of Port Charles mourn the life of their beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend. @GeneralHospital#GH
Monaco was allegedly let go over contract/pay issues. First, GH rumors claimed that Monaco didn’t take the network wide pay cut. However, Kelly Monaco has stated that she has indeed taken the pay cut. Also, Monaco calls out TPTB in a social media comment where she addresses Billy Miller’s firing. Take a look at Kelly’s comment below.
As a result of the controversy, GH fans roast Frank Valentini over Kelly Monaco, and light up his X timeline. “Say her name,” and “Fire Frank,” and “#IStandWithKelly,” are among the popular reactions from GH fans. Take a look at the drama unfold in the X conversation exchange below.
Are you seriously that clueless to think that we don’t realize that you’ve tagged everyone else in storyline mentions except for Kelly? #SamMcCall#KellyMonaco#IStandWithKelly – there I did it for you. You got away with what you’ve been aching to do the past 5 years. You can’t…
In case you’ve been wondering, Steve Burton Address Kelly Monaco’s GH Exit! Earlier this Fall, GH fans learned of Kelly Monaco’s dreaded General Hospital exit. The news came as a major shock to GH fans, especially those holding out hope for a JaSam reunion. Sadly, that hope is lost.
Reportedly, GH closed the door on any future JaSam reunion, leaving many fans disappointed and embittered by TPTB. According to General Hospital news, Kelly Monaco addressed her untimely GH exit in early October. The beloved actress left a public comment on Instagram. GH fans expressed their confusion and upset over the news, which was followed by a statement from Kelly herself. Previously, General Hospital Blog shared Monaco’s social media comment regarding her departure.
Devastation, confusion, and utter upset, among other negative emotions can be associated with Monaco’s exit and Sam McCall’s premature death. Obviously, the majority of the fans stand with Kelly Monaco in this controversial debate on why Kelly was fired.
Steve Burton Says Kelly’s Departure “Sucks”
Meanwhile, co-stars also weighed in on the situation. General Hospital news and spoilers reveal that Steve Burton broke his silence after GH announced that his former scene partner, co-Star Kelly Monaco was let go from the iconic daytime drama. Burton and co-star Bradford Anderson touched on the issue on their podcast, the Daily Drama.
In the episode Spinelli’s portrayer mentioned that the rest of the cast learned of Monaco’s situation around same time as GH sans. This is because the show was on a few week hiatus at the time. Burton weight in, and stated, Burton added, “I wish we had information to tell you,” then alluded to the possibility that new developments would come our way in the coming days. Additionally, Burton declares that he’s unaware of the storyline details, and professed, “Whatever happens sucks.”
GH’s Iconic Super Couple Jason Morgan and Sam McCall
Hey JaSam fan, please check out the emotionally triggering video of Jason and Sam’s epic love story. I’m not crying, you’re crying. But actually, I am most definitely crying.
Sam’s Death Destroys Alexis! If only Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) would have left that gun alone in the first place. Of course a mother is going to protect her child. On the other hand, Molly (Kristen Vaganos) blames Kristina (Kate Mansi), and the real person to blame is Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
We could go back and forth all day long with the what ifs and should’ve, would’ve, could’ve debates. Don’t forget that Jagger Cates (Adam Harrington) might be the victim, yet he was no innocent victim. But, no matter how Sonny, Ava, Kristina, and even Alexis played things out, the option for a redo doesn’t exist.
One of Port Charles’s brightest attorneys is facing murder charges. Alexis Davis wears many hats in her busy life, but she’s a First and foremost a mother.
Sam’s Death Destroys Alexis
Will her selfless act to protect one daughter cause the death of another? According to General Hospital spoilers, Alexis continues to put her freedom on the line to protect her daughter Kristina. Sadly, with protecting Kristina comes with the fact that Molly and Sam will risk themselves to protect their mom. GH rumors tease that Alexis has blood on her hands. And it isn’t Jagger’s.
Kin Shriner Calls Out GH In the wake of Kelly Monaco’s recent bombshell, long-running General Hospital star Kin Shriner weighs in on the general topic. Many believe that the long-running actors on General Hospital are not given the proper respect or treatment they deserve. Instead, these iconic actors and their characters have been thrown out like yesterday’s news. But what they don’t realize is that today’s stories are built on yesterday’s news.
Previously, General Hospital Blog shared Kelly Monaco’s statement about her imminent GH exit. Reportedly, Monaco dropped a bombshell about how she was treated after Billy Miller’s firing. The fan-favorite actress admitted that she spent decades building Sam McCall’s characteristics just to have them stripped and dismantled since 2019.
Kin Shriner – Calls Out General Hospital
Recently, General Hospital star Kin Shriner posted to the social media platform X to express his opinion on current events. In the wake of Kelly Monaco’s controversial statement, Kin’s post came in at the perfect time. There’s no doubt that Monaco and Shriner are both long-running actors/characters. So, it makes sense that his social media activity potentially supports Monaco’s statements.
GH spoilers tease there is more real life drama behind the scenes at General Hospital.
When I came on @GeneralHospital in 1977 the actors that were there and kept the show on the airfor 14 years I held in the highest esteem. Now the long running characters have no respect…. but times have change !
Currently, controversy surrounds the latest General Hospital casting news. There’s no denying that Kelly Monaco’s sudden GH exit sent shockwaves across the entertainment industry, especially Daytime Television.
General Hospital news reports confirm that Kelly Monaco has taped her final scenes as the iconic Samantha McCall. Earlier this week her mom, Carmina Monaco, took to Instagram to express her gratitude for the fans. Carmina’s heartfelt message was nothing short of a top tier class act.
Despite the confusion, and GH rumors that surround Monaco’s General Hospital exit, details behind the decision remained unclear. Until now, GH rumors claimed multiple different scenarios as reasons why Kelly Monaco is leaving General Hospital. From paycut rumors to having been fired, also having quit the daytime drama after 21 years, GH fans haven’t been able to get a good grip on what’s actually going on with Kelly and ABC’s General Hospital.
The Truth Behind Kelly Monaco’s Controversial Exit
Kelly Monaco Drops Truth Bomb- Details Behind Kelly Monaco’s Controversial GH Exit
According to recent GH news updates, Kelly Monaco broke her silence when she replied to comments on the social medial platform X. When replying to a GH fan, Monaco see the record straight. Well, at least it was a start. The actress didn’t hold back as she defended herself and the character she worked so hard to build over her time on General Hospital. Reportedly, Monaco dropped a bombshell, shedding light on the situation. Kelly Monaco’s shocking statement explains the breakdown of her believed role as Samantha McCall. Her character was also known as Samantha Morgan, Sam, Fair Samantha, The Goddess, among other nicknames and aliases.
General Hospital BREAKING news reveals Kelly Monaco’s raw and uncensored comment that has caused quite a reaction throughout the GH fan base. She tells one commenter to “do your homework,” when it comes to the facts about her GH exit.
“No primary role’… do your homework. When Billy Miller was fired, Sam’s storyline stopped. Stripping Sam of every characteristic she had. Something I worked for decades to build…. Slowly dismantling her, into a character that I did not recognize, let alone the audience. Call it what you will… retaliation at it|s] finest. I will give a proper statement. The truth will set you free.”
On September 15th, 2023 the world lost a beautiful soul when Billy Miller died unexpectedly. The Suits and General Hospital star struggled with his mental health, and sadly his issues ultimately claimed his life.
General Hospital Blog and a multitude of media outlets acknowledged September 15th’s significance as it’s been an entire year since we lost Billy Miller. Over the years he and General Hospital icon Kelly Monaco developed a close connection. Although Miller didn’t engage in social media of his own, Monaco sometimes shared photos of their friendship. Additionally, media outlets gave fans a glimpse into the relationship between Monaco and Miller.
Kelly Monaco Breaks Her Silence On Billy Miller
Reportedly, controversy and speculation over Kelly and Billy’s personal and professional relationship spread throughout the fan bases, and they were rumored to have been romantically involved. General Hospital news reports reveal that it’s been one year since Billy Moller’s death, and Kelly Monaco finally breaks her silence.
She took to Instagram to drop a major bombshell about the late Billy Miller. In the anniversary of his passing, Kelly Monaco revealed that there is indeed a story to tell. The beloved and fan-favorited actress shared a photo of herself with Miller. Monaco’s caption reads, “Duces “I’ve got your back and you always had mine” I will tell our story soon enough…. love and miss you… and beyond @generalhospitalabc @natevarni @disney @hulu #craigerwich #robmills
Evidently, Monaco used some interesting hashtags when revealing that she will soon enough tell their story. Monaco made mention of Hulu and Disney in her post. As a result, GH rumors point towards an epic reveal that could quite possibly be in production with Disney/Hulu.
How Will Sam Leave General Hospital?! …Kelly Monaco joined General Hospital’s iconic cast back in 2003. Although she brought a new role to General Hospital, Monaco wasn’t a stranger to Port Charles. Prior to becoming Sam McCall, the Playboy model/television actress played Livvie Locke from 1999-2003 on ABC’s GH spinoff called Port Charles.
Today, the 48 year old talented beauty is just under two months shy of 21 year as Samantha McCall (Morgan). Kelly’s extreme popularity as Daytime TV’s Mob Princess/P. I. has GH fans scratching their heads at the latest General Hospital news.
According to GH comings and goings, Kelly Monaco’s shocking exit has sparked outrage among fans.
There is no doubt that General Hospital will not be the same without fan-favorited actress, Kelly Monaco. Sadly, we’ve all lost a favorite actor/character over the course of the shows 61 years. Sometimes we get lucky and they come back to life Soap Opera style. Unfortunately, there are times when what’s lost is lost, and our favorite character stays buried. At this time, GH news and spoilers indicate the reason for Monaco’s exit remains unreported.
