There’s no doubt that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is the most sought after man in Port Charles. Whether it’s desire or disdain, the women of Port Charles have big thoughts about the charming and lovable mobster.

At this point it’s pretty obvious that Sonny has moved on from Nina (Cynthia Watros). Lately, she hasn’t even crossed his mind. On the other hand, Sonny’s living rent free in Nina’s mind. Meanwhile, Sonny spends most of his time with Ava Jerome (Maura West). So much so that Michael (Chad Duell) and Carly (Laura Wright) are suspicious of her motives.

According to GH spoilers and rumors, Sonny’s next leading lady isn’t who most of us expect. Many fans have hoped for a CarSon reunion since Nina swept in and stole him from Carly. Eventually, I think that Sonny and Carly will find their way back to each other. GH rumors hint that it’s not going to be that simple. Now that Sonny and Carly are both on the market, it’s unlikely they’ll limit themselves to each other. True, Things may not have worked out between Sonny and Nina, and Carly and Drew, but that doesn’t mean Sonny and Carly will get back together so soon.

Lois and Sonny go way back, Ava and Sonny are two peas in a mobster pod. Then there’s Natalia. The new woman in town whose daughter is dating Kristina. Despite her snarky comments, Sonny and Natalia seem to be hitting it off. And of course there’s Carly. She and Sonny are the IT couple of Port Charles, and many GH fans have shipped them for decades.

Is there a new lady out there somewhere for Sonny, or are he and Carly endgame?

After decades back in Bensonhurst Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) returned to Port Charles this holiday season. She finally gets to catch up with her oldest friends, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Olivia Falconeri Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero). These three grew up together in Bensonhurst and now that Lois is back the fun begins again.

General Hospital recaps recall that Lois and Olivia clash over Sonny. It’s Olivia who believes that they should keep quiet about Ned (Wally Kurth) and Nina’s (Cynthia Watros) secret. She’s abiding by Ned’s wishes as it’s his secret to tell. After all, he’s the one blamed because Nina has no problem letting an innocent man take her fall. Lois put the pieces together and figured out that it’s Nina! Sonny is one of Lois’s oldest and best friends, so there’s no way she’s going to let this slide. Right now, Ned finds that it’s best he keep quiet about who really turned Drew (Cameron Mathison) and Carly into the SEC. That poses a problem when Lois decides that Sonny deserves the truth.

Taylor Swift once said, “Don’t you know that cash ain’t the only price?” Sure, someone you know might have body guards, an endless coffee supply, a private island as a safe-house, or designer clothes, a room at the Metro Court, or all of the above. But what is the price outside of monetary terms for the finer things in life? Often times money can buy frivolous purchases but it’s how the money was earned that sits uncomfortably with some people. Or not. Sadly, some people can sleep like a baby while knowing that they are the reason for someone’s pain and suffering.

On the flip side, others life everyday in constant fear of the enemy. That’s when protecting your own becomes more than your first priority. More importantly, an attempt to fortify your entire family’s world becomes your way of life. Port Charles mob boss Sonny Corinthos is a powerful man. Yet, he continues to find himself at odds with a new enemy.

Is Yuri A Friend Or Foe?

A body guard is a highly trusted, highly skilled professional that is hired to protect another person or group. So far, the Quartermaine’s bodyguard Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi) meets both of those expected attributes. He’s been nothing but kind and helpful to the Q clan, especially Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). Yuri even called her by a nickname. From the looks of things, Yuri is quite fond of Miss BLQ and the entire Quartermaine family.

Despite his big Teddy bear-like assets, Yuri could very well be a plant. No, not the kind that grows upon water and sunlight, but rather a decoy. Apparently, Yuri may not be the all-powerful protector like we all thought. Is Yuri there to carryout his obligation to serve and protect the Quartermaine family? While Monica is away, Tracy Quartermaine is at play. She’s in a position of power and she schemes every person who gets in her way. It’s true, Tracy does this while having no shame. She does what she’s gotta to do. That means, winning is everything. Even if your own granddaughter has to live with the embarrassment of knowing that Granny played her for a fool. Right now Tracy’s in charge. That is, she was.

According to GH spoilers, Tracy deals with more than Brook Lynn and her mom Lois. Tracy’s son Ned married a drop dead gorgeous, spitfire of a woman from Bensonhurst. And what does a woman like that do? She has a gorgeous spitfire daughter of her own to carry on the tough cookie, bad-assery that comes along with being a woman from Bensonhurst. But first, we have to give credit where credit is due. You know what they say, like mother like daughter. That’s why Lois’s mom, Gloria gets the glory!

GH spoilers suggest that Gloria and the rest of the Bensonhurst Italians reunite when she arrives in Port Charles. Soon, the Bensonhurst Italians reunite and reminisce about the old neighborhood and old times together.

I don’t know about you all but I’m so excited. As an Italian myself, I’m a little bias. But there’s nothing better than an Italian get together. Add some Bensonhurst spice and I’ll be begging for an invitation.
