Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) haven’t been the best of friends as of lately. Maybe it’s a power struggle, maybe it’s more complicated than that, but either way, Nikolas and Sonny haven’t been getting along.
It seems as though Nikolas doesn’t value Sonny’s loyalty to his son, Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), perhaps out of jealousy. Nikolas and his son have been at odds, and Spencer seems to look toward Uncle Sonny for advice and protection instead of his own father.
General Hospital spoilers and rumors suggest these two men in Spencer’s life will have to put their differences aside for a common goal. GH previews and spoilers indicate that Sonny approaches Nikolas with suspicions about Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy), in an attempt to get Nikolas to watch his and his family’s back- which includes Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Sonny’s daughter, Avery Corinthos.
GH rumors hint Nikolas will resist at first, but eventually come around to teaming up with Sonny, going against his own uncle in order to protect his family. Victor has an agenda involving many of the people of Port Charles. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) are trying to get to the bottom of what Victor has been up to. GH previews and spoilers indicate that Anna involves Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) and rumors hint toward a shocking discovery involving Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) abs possibly even Luke Spencer (Tony Geary). It looks like almost the whole city is involved in Victor’s grand scheme in one way or another!

Nikolas and Courtney’s son Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) loves his uncle Sonny and the feeling is reciprocated. Sonny looks after his nephew, offering his protection and anything he may need. Lately Sonny and Nikolas haven’t been getting along, mainly after Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) drove a wedge between them with her lies and schemes. The tension between them also stems from Ava Jerome’s (Maura West) connection to Sonny as being the mother of one of his children, Avery. Ava and Nikolas share custody of Avery with Sonny. Even Carly has a hand in raising Sonny and Ava’s little girl.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Sonny and Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) will butt heads- a power struggle may be on the forefront, and Victor may not want Sonny in his way. It looks like Sonny may be gearing up to protect Ava regarding her situation with Esme flying off the parapet. Victor’s dislike for Ava is apparent, and he only agreed to protect her because Nikolas convince him to do so.
General Hospital rumors suggest, now that Ava and Nikolas are on the outs, her story about Esme won’t necessarily be backed up. Victor and Nikolas most likely won’t be protecting her story if she’s turned her back on Nikolas. Which leaves Sonny. It’s possible that Sonny will want to protect the mother of his child, especially knowing how much trouble Esme has caused. He sees Victor as a threat and will get to warn Nikolas to not be so trusting of his Uncle Victor. Will Nikolas listen to Sonny or dismiss his warning?

Laura and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) are on opposite sides of the law but have a long lasting bond and friendship. They’ve always had a mutual understanding regarding their positions in Port Charles.
General Hospital spoilers reveal Laura may not be able to sit back and turn a blind eye this time when it comes to her friend Sonny.
