Well my friends, today is March 5th, 2024. The last two months have felt like forever since we found out about Steve. On January 4th, 2024, ABC’s General Hospital surprised fans with the best post-Christmas gift. Steve Burton appeared unexpectedly alongside Kelly Monaco and Laura Wright. For the first time in over three years, Sam, Jason, and Carly were all together on screen. Right then and there we all knew that meant that Jason Morgan was set to return!

Fast forward and the day has come and gone. March 4th has been the most anticipated daytime television event in recent times, and now it’s over. Truly, I don’t believe that the excitement has slowed down even in the slightest. Ever since General Hospital’s Stars and Storytelling special episode, all the fans can talk about is Steve Burton’s return. There is no doubt in my mind that Steve’s come back is the most anticipated event in recent GH history. That said there is a lot of potential for Jason Morgan’s new path.

Reportedly, Steve’s comeback was basically announced at the end of the 60th anniversary special. The mysterious teaser was quite impactful for the fans as they’ve waited for this day to come. General Hospital spoilers and rumors reveal the possibilities that lie ahead for Jason.

According to GH recaps, Jason is presumed dead after seemingly being crushed in a cave. His partner in crime at the time, Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) mourned his death not long before her own unfortunate demise. Over the years, actors and roles comes and go but few are absolutely irreplaceable. Although the role of Jason Morgan was once recast, it was quickly learned that having anyone play Jason was not going to work as they’d hoped. Instead, Burton’s recast, the late Billy Miller, was written as Drew Cain. This left room for Steve Burton to return.

That’s where Dex comes in. He was hired as a mole in Sonny’s organization and Michael’s mission to take down Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is underway.
