Whether someone is an overt or cover baddie doesn’t matter because sooner than later everyone knows exactly who they are. (Even if they get amnesia and don’t even remember themselves! Lmao) Then, after their biggest evil doings, some tragedy strikes and the villain begins to receive sympathy. Next, empathetic souls see the good in whoever, and you can guess what’s next. Lastly, the redemption process begins. Some will believe with all their hearts that the person has changed, nay sayers will claim the person is faking… and we never really know until the storyline unfolds! is one of the most polarized people in Port Charles.

Steve Burton reprises his role. Daytime TV icon, Steve Burton is best known for his good-hearted, bad boy role on ABC’s General Hospital. Jason Morgan became one of the most popular characters in television. His friendship and brotherhood with GH’s leading man, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), created a powerful fan following.

Sadly, Burton’s reign as the legendary Jason Morgan ended in November of 2021. His personal beliefs were not in alignment with certain mandates Disney and ABC required to continue employment. Unfortunately, Steve left GH after nearly 3 decades.

Thankfully, Steve’s fans don’t have to go too far in order to find him on-screen. After Steve departed General Hospital, Beyond Salem producers reached out to Burton. He was asked to hop on board and reprise his role as Harris Michaels in Beyond Salem’s second season.

General Hospital news reports reveal Burton’s next career move. According to Soaps In Depth, Steve explained his thought process when it comes to accepting Beyond Salem’s offer. He said, “It was kind of like, “We already have an idea for 3. Could you come back to Days and maybe finish that arc?’ “That’s how it led into the story coming to DAYS. It’s a continuation of BEYOND SALEM.” Burton explained, “I don’t want to say it was an easy decision,” he admitted. “With BEYOND SALEM, it was an easy decision because it was a limited run.

“And I had such a great experience there with the people I worked with and the producers. When they brought [returning] up, I was way more open to it than I probably would have been prior,” he went on, “because I have businesses I’m growing that are doing well. I’m doing what I love to do, coaching people. And I’ve got my kids. So my life was great, I have all this stuff going on. But I do love to act and how this came about was great. So I was like, ‘Yeah, sure. I’ll come back.’ When you’re in the business 36 years and people are still calling? I’m super-grateful.”

GH fans continue to hold out hope for Steve’s return as Jason. But for now, watching him anywhere is better than nowhere!

Then, things got complicated along the way. Attachments to new friends make for some gray area, while an emotional bond to Sonny turns the tables.

For months, General Hospital fans wonder if Dex has another reason for coming to/staying in Port Charles. Obviously, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) gives Dex a good enough reason to stay. But, General Hospital rumors and spoilers suggest that she isn’t the only thing keeping him in PC.

It looks like Dex has good reason to stay in Port Charles. In recent General Hospital news, Dex’s portrayer, Evan Hofer, shared some exciting GH casting details. According to Evan, his role as Dex was meant to be a short-term character. Instead, the told of Dex Heller turned into a contract role! General Hospital comings and goings reports confirm that Evan Hofer signed a GH contract as Dex Heller.

In a recent interview, Hofer discloses how his role went from a short term thing to a more permanent role. He explained that he was about to film his very first scenes alongside ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith. Even continued to explain that GH Executive Producer, Frank Valentini, pulled him aside. “But I’m getting ready for my first scenes with him and we’re about to roll and Frank pulls me aside and tells me, “Hey, you know, you’ve shown us some great layers and great stuff we could never imagine. How do you feel about sticking around a little more permanently?’” he went on. “And I was speechless and went, ‘Yes… sounds good… yes… yes sir… yes sir.’ And he goes, ‘Cool.
