As previously reported, General Hospital Blog shared the news regarding Steve Burton leaving his role on CBS’ The Young and the Restless after only 3 years. Burton left his 21 year role as Jason (Quartermaine) Morgan in 2012, and joined Y&R as Dylan McAvoy in 2013.
In the midst of all the actor swapping drama that went on between ABC’s General Hospital and CBS’ Y&R, GH was able to snag up Billy Miller (ex- Billy Abbott, Y&R) to take over the role of the iconic ‘Stonecold’, Jason Morgan.
Fast forward to this Fall, there was much confusion once again caused by news revolving around Steve Burton, Billy Miller, and their respective daytime dramas. General Hospital rumors were swirling after news broke out of Steve’s departure from Y&R, and fans automatically started to speculate, wondering if Billy Miller was on his way out of GH, leaving room for Steve Burton to reprise his role.
When Steve left in 2012, it was one of the biggest upsets in General Hospital history. Fans were upset and angry, and many didn’t want to welcome Billy Miller (or anyone for that matter) into the role of their beloved Jason Morgan. Much to our surprise, General Hospital Blog conducted a poll, which resulted in fans choosing Billy Miller as Jason at 61%, leaving fans who chose Steve Burton to come back at a shocking 39%.
It looks like this time around, fans got what they wanted. General Hospital spoilers broke the news that Billy Miller has signed on for another year long contract with GH.

The time Burton spent at Y&R is merely a fraction of his 21 year performance on General Hospital as Jason Quartermaine/Morgan. Fans new and loved him as a resident of Port Charles for over 2 decades.
Last Fall, General Hospital news reports confirmed that GH newcomer, (Steve’s recast as Jason Morgan), Billy Miller had signed on a new contract with GH. However it has been reported that contract was a ONE YEAR contract, which would mean talk of contract negotiations with Miller should take place around this time. However, we are already into October, and Miller is still on screen as Jason Morgan. There has been no confirmation on whether or not Billy Miller has signed on yet again with ABC’s General Hospital. Fans of both Steve Burton and Billy Miller are scrambling to search for answers. The biggest question this news poses to fans is, “Will Steve Burton reprise his role as Jason Morgan?”

The role of Jason Morgan was recast by Y&R vet, Billy Miller. It was hard for fans to accept at the beginning, however, JaSam fans have accepted and embraced the new role.
Steve Burton has confirmed via Twitter, his departure from Y&R this coming December, at his contract’s end.

Two of General Hospital’s most well known actors are real life friends and are about to reunite through a new project. The legendary Lucky Spencer, portrayed by Jonathan Jackson, and the iconic Jason Morgan formerly played by Steve Burton for 21 years, have joined forces outside ABC Studios.
The two have parted ways from General Hospital, as Steve Burton now plays Dylan McAvoy on The Young and the Restless, and Jonathan Jackson has moved to ABC’s Primetime drama, Nashville, as Avery Barkley. Although they are no longer co-workers in show biz, they are taking their colleague-ship in an entirely new direction.
Jackson and Burton have announced that they, along with third co-owner, restaurateur, Richard Shannon will open a Tennessee Smokehouse. The venue has been described as “a family-friendly, world class,” restaurant and concert venue.
At Jack and Jameson’s Smoke House, expect to indulge in barbecue and burgers, and will have 15-20 local brews on tap.

When it comes to tear jerking story lines, yesterday’s episode should be ranked as one of the top for being an extremely sad goodbye. Emotions were running high as Sam and Patrick decided to end their relationship and engagement. However, this time, the breakup didn’t just involve two adults. Little Emma, played by the remarkable Brooklyn Silzer, displayed phenomenal talent in Thursday’s episode of General Hospital. Her pain was so real, it could be felt even by those who could never relate to a heart wrenching goodbye. Emma is struggling so hard with the loss of her mother Robin, although she is alive, Emma has been lead to believe that Robin is choosing to live without her. She has had high hopes for finding a mother figure in Sabrina (Teresa Castillo) and now in Sam (Kelly Monaco), and this break up between Patrick and Sam has pushed Emma to her breaking point. After Sam left, Emma begged and pleaded to her dad, crying, “no more falling in love, no more girlfriends, I need mommy (Kimberly McCullough)!”
Jason Thompson and Kelly Monaco were nothing short of Emmy worthy in their performance. This story is a clear reflection of the real life goodbye the cast and crew have experienced as Jason Thompson taped his final episode of General Hospital last week. Jason Thompson has ended his 10 year run as the undeniably gorgeous, Dr. Patrick Drake, son of legendary Dr. Noah Drake, played by Rick Springfield. It has been confirmed that Jason Thompson has moved on to The Young and the Restless, and will be joining fellow ex-GH cast mate, Steve Burton (Jason Morgan).

Morgan’s Revenge
General Hospital spoilers reveal that the aftermath of Sonny’s shooting will make a huge impact on the lives in Port Charles. First, Sonny’s youngest son Morgan faces whether or not he will be diagnosed with bipolar disorder, just like his dad. So far, signs are pointing to yes. Morgan is displaying some of the same characteristics that would lead to a bipolar diagnosis. After Sonny was shot, Morgan was beside himself with grief and anger. The thought of losing his dad has his mind spinning out of control… so much that he will go to extreme measures to get justice.
According to GH previews, Morgan is ready to end Julian’s life. He’s out for revenge and won’t let anyone deter him from getting justice for Sonny. Moreover, General Hospital spoilers indicate that Sonny’s incident will adversely affect many lives in Port Charles. As a result of the incident, the Jason Morgan reveal will begin to unravel. Sam, Maxie, and Ric, have already started to notice the similarities between Jake Doe and Jason Morgan right after the shooting on the pier.

One of the most controversial fan base wars has just taken the drama to an entirely new level. The Liason vs. JaSam wars date back to practically a decade, and it doesn’t look like there will be an end to all the chaos any time soon. General Hospital fans have been waiting for what seems like forever for the big Jason Morgan reveal. Ever since Billy Miller took over the role of Jason Morgan, and stepped into Steve Burton’s shoes, true Jason and Sam fans have been waiting (im)patiently for their great love to be reunited. All the while, Elizabeth and Jason fans have been in their glory during the current story line involving the love between Jake Doe (Jason) and Liz.
We all know that Elizabeth and Nikolas are keeping an enormous secret from the rest of Port Charles. Aside from Laura and Lucky Spencer, they have told no one of Jake’s true identity. Hayden Barnes is well aware of Jake’s true identity, but since she is having trouble with her memory after waking up from a coma, the threat she poses has been put on the back burner. Although she knows Jake really is married to Sam, and Sam walked into the chapel as Liz was asking for a sign from above, she still, despite everything she knows about Jake and his loved ones, told him yes to marriage.
In General Hospital spoilers and news, recently GH’s Head Writer, Ron Carlivati was let go and replaced by two co-writers, Jean Passanante and Shelly Altman. Currently, the show is still airing episodes written by Carlivati, but soon enough, that will all change. It goes without saying that this wedding will ultimately end in disaster, if Liz and Jake even make it to the altar. General Hospital rumors have been speculating, that the big Jason reveal is going to happen sooner rather than later. Fans are about to lose their minds when it comes to the Jake Doe, Jason and Sam (Kelly Monaco) story line. Die hard JaSam fans just want the reunion sooner rather than later. Sam and Jason have been considered one of Daytime TV’s ultimate super couples. This relationship which is just short of an entire decade has had a huge fan following since the beginning. Every since Jason took Sam in while pregnant with Sonny’s baby, these two were meant to be. They have been there for each other through it all, the good, the bad, the unthinkable. This couple possesses passion, love, selflessness, humor… together they make one bad ass mob team, Jason the enforcer and Sam his leading lady, P.I.
Ever since Steve Burton left General Hospital and Jason Morgan “died,” true Jason and Sam fans have not been completely content with the love interests that were introduced for Sm Morgan. Some jumped on the Silas (Michael Easton) and Sam bandwagon, and there is no doubt that Patrick (Jason Thompson) and Sam make an adorably hot couple. But the fact remains, that Jason and Sam have YEARS of history, and no other man compares when it comes to being a match for fair Samantha.
