Jonathon Jackson (ex-Lucky Spencer on GH, Avery on Nashville) and Steve Burton (ex-Jason Morgan on GH, Dylan on Y&R) have teamed up and have written a song together. Long time friends and now neighbors in Nashville, Steve came to Jonathan with some lyrics and asked if he would be able to put them to music.
The song, “You Killed Romeo,” was featured on yesterday’s episode of The Young and the Restless and is now available for purchase on iTunes.

There is someone sneaking around the streets, alley ways, and residents of Port Charles. They seem to be particularly interested in Sonny, Carly, Elizabeth, and Sam. Who do you think it could be? Jason? Franco? Comment below and let us know you’re thoughts!
This Michael Fairman interview with Steve Burton is absolutely amazing. All the questions the fans have been asking since Steve left General Hospital have finally been answered. Many fans are disgruntled, confused, and even angry at what they THINK the facts are related to the entire situation. From Steve leaving GH to move to Tennessee, to then returning to soaps by joining The Young and The Restless, to the way Jason was written off; fans thought the worst of Steve and/or ABC. I sure hope ALL General Hospital and Steve Burton fans read this interview.
The rumors about Steve plotting to go to Y&R all along, or the executives at GH not offering Burton a compromise are untrue. Steve Burton also explains that Jason’s send off was due to lack of time. Time was running out and the writing team had to come up with something. It would be really great to stop reading such negativity from fans who think Steve was untruthful or that ABC just didn’t care enough to keep him. That is entirely not the case. In the interview, Michael asks Steve about the day he left. Steve explains how difficult it was emotionally and mentions that it was very hard on Maurice Benard (Sonny). This actually brought tears to my eyes. He also mentioned that it was very difficult leaving Kelly Monaco Sam), and that it is still weird not being able to see her everyday.
Michael Fairman also asked Steve if there were plans for Jason’s return to GH for the anniversary show. Steve Burton expressed that he would love to come back for the 50th, but since he is now on CBS he is not sure if that will be allowed. All this being out it the open, I hope fans and Steve Burton have closure now in regards to what really happened during and after the time of his exit. After all thins said and done, Steve did what was best for his family and his life.

After 21 years as General Hospital’s popular character, Jason Morgan, Steve Burton announced that he was leaving his career at GH to fulfill his and his family’s dream of moving to Tennessee. Just a few months after his exit, there is talk of the soap star heading over to Y&R. The news is puzzling to fans, and we will have to wait for the full story. In the mean time check out this article from TVGuide.com on the topic. Click here.
Sam has great instincts. Her women’s intuition was spot on when she felt in her heart that her son was not gone, and it turned out he was healthy and safe and is now back in her arms. Whens he finds out the truth, that Jason is the true Father of Danny, she will know she was right about that too. We all know that Steve Burton is on a new life journey and has no plans or indication of returning any time soon. But that does not mean a thing in the soap world. Jason Morgan’s body was not found and he could very well be alive and just unable to contact Sam for any reason. Sam has made it clear to her loved ones that she really believes Jason is alive. She looked to her P.I. partner and best friend, Spinelli for help along with her new friend John McBain. John is supporting her instinct and wants to help her keep the hope alive and find Jason. I love this. I love that they have made Jason have a dramatic exit, yet open for the character to return. Whether it will be Steve Burton himself to reprise the role sometime down the road, or a recast sooner than later, either way, I am with Sam. I believe Jason is alive.
Actor Sean Kanan returns to GH this October 29th! It has yet to be revealed as to who he will be playing. Since he has a history with GH, rumors are circulating that he could be cast as his past character A.J., even though he was murdered in 2005. Another rumor suggests that he may be the recast for Jason Morgan, upon Steve Burton’s exit later this Fall. The news is hoped to remain a secret until Sean’s debut on October 29th.
After the heart breaking scenes of Jason and Sam’s breakup, fans were left with much disappointment and uncertainty. Kelly Monaco and Steve Burton really owned those scenes and made us believe and feel exactly what Sam and Jason Morgan were going through. It was probably the most realistic break up ever. Every word each of them said, the love they both still have, and the doubt in their hearts was all portrayed with precision and accuracy. I felt as if their characters were “real” people. I am watching the JaSam flashbacks as I am writing this, balling my eyes out. I have been a fan of this couple from day one, and I still have hope for them. JaSam are an iconic television couple who need to go down in history as such. I know that Jason and Sam have not seen their last day as friends and lovers. This is a rare love story that I have hope will live on and be talked about for ages. Please, if you are a JaSam fan, stop the hate and have faith. The writers aren’t breaking them up to piss off the fans, they are doing it because it is fiction, it is a show, and things change. That doesn’t mean that they won’t out them back together. This makes for amazing TV watching, and is the reason we fell in love with soaps. Also, with the pace of how things have been going, we may not have to wait as long as we think. Please view the scenes of the breakup posted below.
With just one day away for the opening of the Tribeca Film Festival, I am just filled with excitement about the movie by James Franco, ‘Francophrenia’ (Or, Don’t Kill Me, I Know Where the Baby Is). Based on the TV character Franco (Robert Frank) from the ABC Daytime soap opera General Hospital, this movie is about the sociopath, serial killing, Jason Morgan (played by Steve Burton)-obsessed artist who now has turned out to be Jason’s twin brother! This film will lead the Tribeca Film Festival line up held April 18-29, 2012.
James Franco took on the role of Franco on GH to explore the worlds of acting and to prepare for another role which he would play a soap opera character. Franco explains his experience on GH as a learning experience, and experimental.
