A shocking new development has reached social media outlets and major changes have hit Port Charles. Esme Prince and Spencer Cassadine are presumed dead, which means both Pohl and Chavez are off the canvas.

GH fans are conflicted as some want Esme gone because she wreaks havoc on some fan-favorite characters. On the other hand many GH fans don’t want to see her go. For me, Esme is incredible. Avery Pohl is an excellent actress and shines in every scene.

The recent GH news surrounding my favorite little villainess caught GH fans off guard. First, something doesn’t seem right, and the math just ain’t mathing. Meaning, this doesn’t add up. First, Avery Kristen Pohl is a phenomenal actress. Second, she initially signed a 1 year contact in August of 2021. And in June of 2022, Pohl signed on with the Soap Opera for 3 years.

So, what gives? She plays a villain and does exactly what’s she’s supposed to do, and that’s make people hate her. Often times we don’t just hate a villain, but we LOVE to hate them. Or, we hate what they do but not who they are. That’s exactly where I stand with Esme Prince.

Although the timing doesn’t add up with her 3 year contract, the GH Representative confirms that Pohl is out as Esme Prince.

Her first secured Avery plays Esme for a year. But once renewal time arrived GH upped Pohl’s contract and she signed a 3 year deal.

It’s possible that Esme goes missing temporarily but Pohl’s GH contract says that there won’t be a permanent exit. The actress signed a 3 year contract in June of 2022. So it looks like Esme is here to stay for a while!

That’s when he so proudly told Esme that her son was gone and in the care of his unstable, absentee father.

Despite having been a young teen when Bechtel left GH, Chavez had some big shoes to fill. Already, the role of Spencer Cassadine held a certain standard. After all Spencer IS a Cassadine. Son of Nikolas Cassadine, aka the Dark Prince, Nicholas Alexander Chavez has to be at the top of his game.

Ultimately, GH fans warmed up to Chavez quite nicely as the grown up version of the character we loved lived up to previous standards. Now he has a huge following made up of majorly devoted fans. In addition to his own success, GH fans can’t get enough of Chavez and his on-screen pairing with Tabyana Ali. Potentially, they could become estranged for the foreseeable future. It’s no surprise that Portia is sticking with her plan to drive Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) apart. However, it’s the way she’s going about it that comes as a surprise.

Until these latest scenes between Portia and Spencer at Portia’s home, she’s mainly manipulated Esme. Now, Portia’s taken things to an unrealistic level. According to GH recaps, Portia told Spencer his help wasn’t necessary and dismissed him from her home. Then, Trina walks down and asks where he sent. Honestly, there’s no way in Hell that his abrupt exit wouldn’t be addressed at some point. Thus, outing Portia. Of course, this is Port Charles. The fictional NY city is located in Soap Opera Land, where they pop up unannounced on your doorstep to “talk,” because smartphones and texting doesn’t exist.
