Is Cameron Webber leaving for good? One of General Hospital’s youngest stars plays front and center. William Lipton, also known as Cameron Webber, joined General Hospital back in 2018. It was then that he signed on as a contract role. At that point, Cameron (and William) was here to stay.

Over the years, Cameron and his friends, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy), Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez), Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali), and even Emma Drake (Brooklyn Silzer), created the teen scene. Although Emma Drake left before the main focus on the teen drama, her recent return brings about new General Hospital rumors. Prior to Silzer’s return as Emma, GH rumors sparked speculation about Emma and Cameron. As a result of his and Josslyn’s breakup, fans immediately jumped to a romantic relationship between Emma and Cam. Ironically, Emma returns as Cam is on his way out.

According to recent General Hospital spoilers, Cameron Webber is headed to Stanford. That means, William Lipton is leaving General Hospital. However, recent GH news reports clear the air on Lipton’s GH status.

General Hospital news reports confirm that William Lipton explained his status with General Hospital. Although GH rumors surrounding his exit are true, the move isn’t permanent. In a recent interview with Soap Opera Digest, Lipton confirmed that he will rejoin the cast in the Summer. He and his character will attend school off-set and off-screen, and rejoin the cast come Summer.

Breaking Up Is Hard To Do

It wasn’t long ago when two best friends realized they had secretly been crushing on one another. Josslyn jacks (Eden, McCoy) and Cameron Webber built their relationship and friendship and mutual trust. Seemingly, the young lovers had what it takes for the long haul. But, it’s not uncommon for young lovers to grow apart. Sadly, it’s most devastating when one partner outgrows the other. And that’s exactly what happened between Joss and Cam.

Aside from playing Cameron Webber, Lipton’s music career is hitting new heights. The Runarounds members, GH’s William Lipton, Jeremy Yun, Axel Ellis, Zendé, and Jesse Golliher displayed their musical talents at General Hospital this past September.

In addition, The Runarounds played a special performance on the hit Netflix series, Outer Banks. Due to his increasing success with the band, as well as Cameron playing soccer at Stanford, GH fans speculate that William’s GH exit is near.
